There are many types of disorders that have an effect on our everyday life. One particular disorder that many of us are affected by is insomnia. According to Saisan et.al 2013, insomnia is defined as having difficulties falling asleep or staying awake for a great period of time (Saisan et. al 2013). Stress, depression, diabetes, and complications with the thyroid glands are all causations of insomnia. Anxiety is also a trigger for insomnia.
First, you must find a good sleeping method. One method that results in good sleeping is taking sleeping medications that is prescribed by doctors. Medications are sometimes beneficial to people who have insomnia. It helps patients who have insomnia to slumber throughout the night or gets the proper sleep that they need. According to Kavey (2001), over- the-counter medications are helpful for a certain amount of time but then it starts to wear off. When resulting in taking blood pressure medications and antidepressants medications can result in losing sleep as well. Also when you are changing your sleeping habit make sure you are refraining from the television, books, and also eating late at night. Being able to improve your sleeping method make sure it’s dark and quiet in the room.
Another result that helps with insomnia is being able to relax. One way that a person can relax is by listening to soothing music, being able to relax in warm Luke water, engage in many activities, drink warm tea, and yoga. Listening to soft music will have you drifting off to sleep peacefully. On the other hand engage in activities that will help you focus more and be soothing to your mind.

Badr explained, insomnia can be detected into chronic and acute insomnia. Acute insomnia is instantly and chronic insomnia is to expand for a long period of time. Acute insomnia can be affected by asthma, allergies, colds, and a stage of depression. It’s also affected by light, noise, and hot and cold temperatures. Primary insomnia means that a person is having less sleep and is not caused by any health conditions or problems. Peterson (2002) stated that 87 out of 218 clients testified about them being affected with the insomnia disorder. Insomnia can occur at any age. A doctor may recommend exercising because it helps regulate the body more. They may also suggest you not to take certain substances such as alcohol and caffeine due to not having enough sleep.
