The best way for me to describe it would be to start from the beginning. After my number came up in the draft selection, I was put through training that really was not much more than standard guard duty exercises. She landed here about a year after my team and was assigned as the sergeant in charge of the entire mess hall. I will never forget how we met. You see, back then I thought I was all that and a bag of chips; however, SGT Sasha Peterson was not buying what I was selling. She must have thought I came on a bit too hot as she took it upon herself to cool me down, with a full week of KP duty.
