WHO AM I?

“Live life for the moment because everything else is uncertain” ~Louis Tomlinson
Everybody has a different view about the world. Everyone has a different opinion on how people should act and what traits make a person good. Some may consider loyalty, honesty and tolerance to be very important. I agree that these traits are important, but I believe that the most essential trait is to be optimistic. I also think having a sense of humor and a smile is very important.
Voltaire once said “Life is a shipwreck but we must not forget to sing in the lifeboat.” This is one of my favorite quotes. Human existence isn’t flawless; however why we should dwell on imperfections when we can live with smiles with the almost faultless instead. I believe that life is too short to waste on negativity and that we should always look at the bright side of things.

A smile is one of the only gestures preformed and understood by everybody in the world; you smile in the same language. It’s a universal welcome. A simple smile has the power to make someone’s day. If you smile at someone they will most likely smile back. Therefore, smile all the time, the whole planet will pretty soon wear a happy grin. I believe that life is very much like a mirror: we get the best results when we smile at it.

To conclude, this is my philosophy of life: Laugh your heart out, think optimistically, and don’t forget to smile.
To me, a role model is someone who influences the way I live my life. A role model is the kind of person you aspire to be, someone who you look up to and is the one person who can never let you down. For me, JK Rowling ticks all the...

When I'M Brave Enough

...been the type to own up to them right off the bat. I find it awkward and sometimes too far off, raising a problem when ignoring it was all you probably needed. The thing is I still think about it. You’re not a idiot; it’s pretty obvious. I think you’re amazing and that won’t change no matter what this manages to morph itself into. And in my opinion, it doesn’t need to. But I think about the song, I think about the poems, I think about the unfinished story rotting because I’ve lost what motivated me to complete it. A story is a what-could-have-been right? When we daydream about our futures, daydream about bravery and acceptance and victory, it’s just a fantasy story of our lives. Sometimes I just have to write it down to make sure I don’t lose it. Don’t forget it. Understand that once upon a time, I was such and such. People say in the future, they’ll look back and laugh. I won’t laugh; I’ll understand. Perhaps not why, why you, why this time, why so silent and why so demanding but I’ll understand the circumstances. I’ll understand what drove me and what tore it apart. My entire life’s story out there for everyone to see. Sometimes I feel so exposed. It’s weaving together assumptions that are sometimes so out there, right in the open. But that’s okay, because even things I write a month ago, I no longer understand. I don’t know whom I was so pissed off at and what made me write a passage on loneliness. I don’t need to. It’s all in the moment.......

Biography

...I am 47 years old and I live in Texarkana, Texas. I moved to Texarkana about twelve years ago to get away from the craziness in Houston, Texas. So, I decided to move to the country where I now live with my boyfriend, two, toypoodles, a ferret and my boyfriends parents. We all live in the country on 5 ½ acres. Our home is 2 homes in one which are both separated, the parents live on one side and we live on the other. Once you have been use to living the city life and move to the country it can be quite an adjustment because there is not much to do in Texarkana, Tx compared to Houston. For instance, simple things for me like driving to town seem like such a chore. Since moving to the country instead of going shopping for dinner no more then a mile from home I now have to drive over fifteen miles to town. Sometimes i feel like I have wasted my entire day. ...a low DV include saturated fat, cholesterol, and also total fat. Foods with a higher daily value are healthy to intake at the right proportions. These foods offer more nutrients to our bodies as they include fiber, vitamins, iron, and calcium. My family is big on Nutella. I know its an alternative to peanut butter, and assumed it was healthy until of course I read the label earlier. Nutella has only four grams of protein and one gram of fiber, both of which fall under the daily value suggestion of staying above five percent. However, iron, Vitamin A & C, and calcium make up for the lack of nutrition in the previous areas although I am not sure if it counts as being healthy in general. Looking at various nutritional facts about food I regularly eat made me realize I do not always make the best choices in my eating habits. Reading these labels is important because they inform us of what we are putting into out bodies, and can help us choose something that is similar but is healthier. I know that people who diet are constantly looking at the labels on their food to see how many calories it may have or just too simply check the daily value. This is a good way to keep track of your calorie, fat, and protein intake. I also noticed that many fast food restaurants such as McDonald’s now includes nutritional facts on their burgers and fries. Each Nutritional Food label gives us six labels that can help us understand the labels better. These include: the serving size, calories,......

...Evaluation on pasta When I cooked my pasta I forgot some of my ingredients therefore I had to use my initiative and cooked it the way that I thought would be best to complement all the ingredients that I had brought with me in the end it all turned out alright this is reflected in the star profiles of when other people tasted it. Next time I cook it I might add either tuna or meatballs this will enhance the flavours and also give it more depth taste wise. When I was presenting my pasta I put them in the middle of my plate and arranged them so that they were in a square in the middle, after that I got a piece of tissue and wiped the edges of the plate where there was some sauce. I did this so that my dish looked professional and more appealing to the eye. In the lesson I had set my self a time frame so that I would have enough time to clean the dishes. My time frame was thirty minutes which I abided by and ended up finishing 15 minutes early which was a strength because I got more time to finish cleaning up my area. The recipe was easy to follow because the steps were clear and easy to read this is because the language used in the text was not too formal. When other people tasted my food they complemented me on the use of Italian herbs, I got no criticism, which I was pleased with. I would say that some of my strengths were that I used my initiative and used the ingredients that I had and I did not let forgetting some of the ingredients affect the final product (pasta dish).......

With snack foods being well received, Biscoff European Cookie Spread could easily be marketable within Australia. A SWOT analysis (appendix 1) has revealed potential and weaknesses of introducing the new treat into Australia. There are environmental factors that can also affect the introduction of this product. Macro Environmental Factors: Social and Cultural Factors: The changes within consumer’ values as well as social trends has the potential to impact on demand of a product. There are many government initiatives currently raising awareness about eating more healthily (Department of Health, 2015), which could impact the demand for the cookie spread. Product Placements in Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” Music Video

...until Lady Gaga wore a meat dress to the 2010 MTV Video Music Award did her name spread like wildfire and become the endless discussion topics regarding her quirky, one-of-a-kind taste of fashion and almost everything else, including music video creation. That explains why once her “Telephone” video co-starring with Beyoncé was premiered, Gaga’s obsessive fans and many pop-culture observers began to break it down frame by frame. Surprisingly, it was not the blatant nudity, lesbianism or poison, but the product placement sprinkled throughout the video that garnered viewers’ attention most. The video’s remarkable number of product placements showcases the consumerist culture we are in, where advertisers strive to revitalize and raise public awareness of their brands by incorporating their products into popular music, movies, TV shows and sports besides traditional advertising. The 9-minute video is packed with at least eight different brands, including Virgin Mobile, Monster Heartbeats by Lady Gaga headphones, Hewlett Packard laptop, Polaroid, Diet Coke, Wonder Bread, Miracle Whip, and dating site PlentyOfFish.com. Although the frequency of product placement in this music video has been to a ridiculous level, the way that brands listed above are inserted into each scene is quite coherent. For example, Gaga steals the Virgin cellphone to contact Beyoncé to bail her out of jail. Food brands like Miracle Whip and Wonder Bread feature in the kitchen scene. The production......
