I. INTRODUCTION
The present period we live today is termed as digital era and is characterized by technology which increases the speed and breadth of knowledge turnover within the economy and Society. The economic impact of the digital revolution has been tremendous and it has radically changed the way individuals and institutions interact in Business, Education and other Sectors. In Current generation, people are born as digital natives and they are exposed to networked digital technologies and the skills to use those technologies. There is greater interconnectedness, easier and faster communication and unlimited exposure to Information and Knowledge. Universities are urged to act by making strategic investments in technical infrastructure …show more content…
However e-learning is not a panacea [20]. There are inherent problems that need to be addressed like lack of face-to-face interaction of faculty and students and the responsibility of learning now shifted to the learners. Also the faculty’s role changed to content providers and facilitator of learning. The students, faculties and educators should equip themselves to adapt to new roles to harness the benefits of using Technology in education. Many research studies highlight the inadequacies in e-learning systems resulting in disengagement of students from the learning process [1]. The researchers are skeptical about the self directed abilities of learners and report that research gap exists towards finding solutions to these problems [11]. This paper introduces a self regulating e-learning framework that provides solutions to the problems discussed. It is based on a Continuous Improvement Model as proposed by Deming who was instrumental for introducing TQM, a quality management concept in USA and Japan in the post war world. The Model facilitates faculties to design and deploy their course content in an e-learning website. Provisions are given to collect and analyze feedbacks …show more content…
We use the web analytic tool "Google Analytics" which is available free. Google analytics presents various types of visual reports on user behavior like Sessions, Page Views, Duration of session etc. A number of useful and interesting patterns on Learner behavior and needs can be arrived at by analyzing different kinds of reports. Web Analytics finds wide applications in E-Commerce Sites for understanding customer behavior and needs. Now the same is extended to e-learning sites for understanding leaner behavior and needs
