Introduction

The objective of this case study is to analyze the success of Vizio and discuss how globalization has affected the manufacturing of flat-panel TVs. What effects do companies that globalize their production have on their competitors and other participants in the marketplace, and what role can the government take to make the situation the best for all the stakeholders? These questions will be answered with focus on strategies that enterprises can implement to be successful and grown in the future marketplace.
I have chosen this case study because I believe globalization is one of the most important factors to evaluate when you are leading a business in today’s economy.

Vizio is a California based Flat-Panel TV producer. It was founded in 2002, and is most known for their affordable Flat-Panel TVs. company became the largest provider in its field in the United States with a 21.7 % market share in 2009.
