People living near the Atlantic Ocean should recycle plastic in order to prevent sea creatures from getting stuck in it, ingesting it, and to benefit for themselves with a reward. We humans are hopefully smart enough to tell what is trash, apart from our other surroundings. Although most sea creatures are incredibly intelligent, they are not familiar with plastic. This is not a material they will come across every day of their lives. The Atlantic Ocean is full of hazardous piles of plastic, even some sharp pieces located on the sandy ground. When a creature is swimming in their home, they should not have to worry about getting stuck in one of these piles. This is a danger to their health, and if they get stuck they will most likely end up dying. A good food source is necessary to survive. We all need food to live!
