Is Abortion Murder? people have debated whether or not abortion is murder. People from both sides have very valid points to back up their side. So who is truly right? I believe that how you were raised as well as your religious beliefs, ways a lot on your side of the ongoing debate. As for me, I believe that abortion is in fact murder. If you kill a newborn baby or a young baby you will be charged with murder and sentenced to serve time in jail. If a pregnant woman is killed, the murderer will be charged with two counts of murder (both the mother and the unborn baby). Yet, if that same pregnant woman chooses that she, for whatever reason, does not want to carry and give birth to the baby, she has the choice to kill that baby according to the laws passed in 1973.
One should know before engaging into sexual intercourse, the many things that can be the outcome of sex. Even if you don’t know about every disease that you could catch, you definitely know that babies are made by having unprotected sex. Moreover, many doctors and anti-abortion advocates as well as I believe that life begins at conception; therefore terminating the pregnancy is in fact murder. Furthermore, there are an unlimited supply if contraceptives and condoms to prevent a pregnancy. Also there are always other options like adoption. There are thousands of people who would love to have a baby yet they’re unable to have a child of their…...

...The argument over whether abortion should be legal is an ongoing debate. Although abortion has been legalized over the majority of the U.S., many people are still against it. Abortion should be legal because it gives the woman the right to choose. At times there may be several factors that affect the woman’s decision. Women that are pregnant due to rape may prefer to have an abortion. A woman may not be financially stable, or may be pregnant with a malformed fetus, or the pregnancy could cause them health issues and they may want to have an abortion. Making abortion illegal cannot stop illegal abortions which are very unsafe. Abortion should remain the decision of the mother. Women that are pregnant because they were raped should have the right to terminate their pregnancy. Rape victims may experience many mental problems which can interfere with their parenting. The baby will always be a reminder of what they went through. Some women may be able to handle this, while it could be too much for others. The victim may be exposed to harmful germs and diseases from the predator. The baby could possibly be born with diseases. The baby will also have to be raised without their real father, and one day possibly learns the truth. Women who have been diagnosed with a malformed fetus should have the right to choose abortion. The child could be born with a birth defect. This could cause the child to never have a normal life. The birth defect could possibly cause......

...“Pro-choice Abortion” Abortion has been one of the biggest controversies of all time. Many people believe it is immoral and even consider it to be murder. The definition of abortion is; “The termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to being capable of normal growth.” 1 These pro-life believers do not support the idea of induced abortion and believe it should be illegal. Many of these supporters do not know that if abortion were illegal they would still be performed, unfortunately by an uneducated staffs. Over 70 thousand maternal deaths occur every year because of unsafe abortions1. These women die, so the idea of supporting pro-life is contradictory, this is why the nation should be pro-choice. Pro-choice believers support the right to privacy and the idea women should have the choice to do what she pleases with her own body. As an example; a woman is raped by a man and becomes pregnant with his child. She decides she doesn’t want to keep the baby; she has an abortion because the idea of raising a child of her rapist is too painful for her to cope with. Pro-choice defenders take sympathies to this woman while she then gets called a murderer by pro-life supporters. Abortions sometimes results in the woman being harassed because of the choice she has made about her own body. That’s what pro-life supports. Often time’s situations like this turns into harassment which can be considered to be part of anti-abortion......

...therefore, that would make abortion murder. The baby that is growing inside of the woman is depending on her, so when she makes the choice to end that baby's life; they are making the choice to murder another person. Someone that believes in the pro-choice theory would say that the decision is up to the woman, but the person with the pro-life theory would say that it is murder no matter what the situation. Most people consider it murder to kill a baby the day after it is born. Then why would it not be murder to kill it before it is born? There are many abortions performed each year in the United States. Seventy-five percent of all abortions in the U.S. are performed on women over twenty years of age, but the lawmakers try to concentrate on the 186,000 teens that have an abortion each year. In 1990, there were nearly 400 abortion bills were that were introduced to forty-one legislatures. So far, as many as twenty states have passed a law that requires a teenager to have parents consent before having an abortion. This may help reduce the number of abortions each year. The people that passed these bills feel that maybe the parents will feel differently about the situation and be able to talk their child out of it. Twenty percent of teens that are sexually active do not use any form of birth control. These are the teens that end up getting pregnant and getting an abortion. If these girls would use some kind of contraceptive it could stop a lot of the abortions performed......

...Justine Harris Mrs. Baldwin ENG101 4-19-12 Abortions Some people may walk into hospitals thinking how many babies were killed today. What right does a woman have to take away an innocent life? Have you ever had a fear of a change that might become crucial in your life? What if this change causes responsibility that should lie on your shoulders? Can we suppose that this is what makes women have abortions nowadays? We probably can, but another question is whether this fear can be an excuse for having an abortion. In this paper I am going to discuss why every child deserves a chance at life. "Abortion is murder". People opposed to abortion because they strongly believe that abortions takes away the "right to live", and is morally wrong. Even Though, others are for abortions argue that the statement is just a religious belief. It also has been said that a “person” applies to all human things especially from conception an egg is considered a human (Abcarian). Pro-abortionists consider that having an abortion is the woman’s choice and that it does not matter if they receive them. Every human deserves to live, therefore abortions should be illegal. What makes abortion murder? The definition of abortion is the "termination of pregnancy" which means killing a fetus. Stopping the women's pregnancy means to destroy the embryo or of the fetus. In some people’s eyes they believe it is the same as slaughtering a baby. They believe that the fetus is a separate human being. To this...

Abortion

...During the past century, abortion has been one of the most passionately debated subjects of controversy in the United State. Since the early decades of the 20th century, abortion was used as a measure of limiting families to a manageable size. In the past, due to the lack of knowledge, many families usually gave birth to a lot of children that they could not afford to raise, which is why abortion was abused in early times as an extreme measure of birth control to avoid further poverty to families. Today, many abortions are given to women under the age of 22. There are not many teenage girls who have sex use protection the first time. Impulsive, ignorant, and irresponsible behavior often lead to unwanted pregnancy. Forcing a woman to raise an unwanted child is the ultimate form of child abuse, for the child will receive less of the loving maternal relationship she or he deserves. Moreover, given birth at the early age may cause a great danger on the young mother as well as the baby, etc. By these reasons, we should consider the right of women to decide whether she should keep the baby or not. Nowadays, many teenage girls have sex in their early age and get pregnant by the lack of knowledge in sexual relationship. If they can not have abortion, they are forced to give birth to the child and raise it while they are still in school. It's not fair for them because they still have the whole school life and their future ahead. That will interrupt their education and even their......

...ILLEGALIZE ABORTION By: Abirna Senthilkaruniyan “I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is 'Abortion', because it is a war against the child... A direct killing of the innocent child, 'Murder' by the mother herself...”― Mother Teresa. In the twenty first century, laws have changed to establish equality to both men and women in developed nations. The act of abortion, ‘is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy.’ This act became legal in the United States of America in 1973 after the Supreme Court case of Roe vs. Wade. In North America, it is legal to abort a child twenty weeks after conception. The government will permit a woman to have a late-abortion for the following reasons: “(1) if the woman has a serious disease, (2) the pregnancy could endanger her physical/mental health, (3) the continuation of pregnancy could lead to substantial risk to the newborn, (4) if the pregnancy was the result of rape (5) if the socio-economic status of the mother hampers the progress of a healthy pregnancy, (6) if the contraceptive device irrespective of the method used failed.” However, other than the respectable mediums listed above abortion should be abolished. Due to the law, abortion is now a risk to the economy and its future, it also increases the rates of murder and can negatively impact a woman psychologically. If North American countries want to sustain humanity and to continue being economical contributors, influencers and......

Abortion

...Abortion Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation Since 1900, abortion has been an act that has been given attention in our society. Abortion is the act of removing a fetus from the mother’s womb. The act has brought about pro-life and pro-choice groups in our country. Pro-life argue that abortion is murder and pro-choice argue that it is not since the fetus is not human. The problem comes in when these two groups do not agree in the legalization of abortion (Opposing Viewpoint Online Collection, 2015). It is true that abortion is not safe and people do not have knowledge about its adverse effects. It bring many complication after the act. ...TermPaperWriter.org Abortion The subject of legal abortion has lead to a nationwide, often emotion-filled, debate that has endured for many years and will for many years to come. People are decidedly in either in the ‘pro-choice’ or ‘pro-life’ camp. There are no compromises to 1 be negotiated: one concerned with the life of a child; the other, the freedom of choice and woman’s health. This paper will first present the ‘right-to-life’ then follow with the ‘prochoice’ argument. The right to choose is the foundation upon which this country was built. Those who are pro-abortion trumpet this slogan while proclaiming a woman’s ‘God given right’ to make her own choices without government interference. This simple ideology is embraced by some but the arguments are flawed when the realities of abortion are examined. Studies have shown that most women are coerced into committing this murderous act of a living human and that there is no such thing as safe abortions as many are led to believe. There is little freedom of choice for women who are experiencing an unwanted pregnancy. The women themselves usually wish to bring their baby to full term. Other powerful influences in her life such as husbands/boyfriends, parents and friends are generally the forces that exact pressures on her to terminate the pregnancy. “Eight out of 10 women surveyed after abortion said they would have given birth if they’d had support and encouragement from family and friends” (Reardon, 2002). It’s the......

...Writing Feedback / | Abortion: Why it should be Illegal. ------------------------------------------------- Top of Form juliat cungThreads: 1 Posts: 3 |  Oct 25, 2009, 09:31pm   #1 | Abortion has been a controversial topic for as long as the idea has existed. People argue that it is the mother's body, the mother's choice. Others say that a life is a life, no matter how small. Do you really think that anyone has the right to murder an innocent's human being? I disagree. Here`s is why it should be banned; many will argue that abortion is wrong because it's taking a human life, no matter what stage of pregnancy it is in, it's very bad for the mother's health and the after math of an abortion could very well go the opposite of what they had envisioned. Banning abortion can be a big achievement but it can always be done if it's compulsory. No one in the world has the right to even think of murdering an innocent child. Just because a fetus may not have a complete eye or leg formed doesn't mean he or she isn't a human. Many people who are against death penalty are in favour of abortion. Abortion is one of the worst types of murder because it is the killing of a person who has not committed any sin. Those who practice abortion should receive the same penalty that they give the baby. A psychologist agrees that about 10% of the 1.6 million women who have had abortion experience severe emotional trauma. Some of the physical damage can result from an abortion- damaged......

...The Tragedy of Teenage Abortion In society today, teens are taught by the television and the media that pre-marital sex is not a bad thing. This problem is leading to many teenage pregnancies, that then lead to abortion. All over the world teens are faced with many challenges in their everyday lives. Sex is being portrayed as extremely appealing in the media, but what they don't show is the pregnancies and the unborn child that never asked to be created in the first place that is being discarded. Abortion is in no way acceptable, it is murder of an unborn child. Many doctors will say that abortion is not a bad thing, and it's not murder. They have argued that it is just an embryo, and is not yet a child. In the book The Terrible Choice: The Abortion Dilemma, Glanville Williams, a well-known English criminologist, was quoted saying abortion should be treated like a tonsillectomy. It's a minor operation to remove unwanted or harmful "tissue growth". Both tissues are alive, and contain material substances, chemical compounds, DNA and RNA molecules. They may vary a little, but they are mainly matter which is composed of cells which are composed of chemicals (1-2). The only difference between a tonsillectomy and an abortion is that the fetus can grow and develop into a human being much like ourselves. Joseph Farah wrote an article about abortion in The Human Life Review. In this, she quoted Steven Pinker, a professor of psychology at the Massachusetts Institute of......
