There are many differing opinions of the phrase “money can’t buy happiness”. I think the response depends on the type of person you ask, but if you ask me, I’d have to agree, money can’t buy happiness.

If you asked the question “can money buy happiness” to someone who was born into a poor family they’d probably say no. They would say no because they understand that money and materialistic items can’t make you feel how family, friends, and passion make you feel like. But if you asked the same question to someone who was more fortunate they’d probably lean towards the answer yes. They would answer yes because they believe that doing the things and being around the people that money CAN buy is more emotionally satisfying than having to work to receive the things in life that would be considered the real benefit for hard work and dedication.

In my opinion, I believe that money can not buy happiness because the things that I am loving towards and passionate about were not bought for or by me. I love my family and I didn’t pay for them. I love my friends but I did not pay for them, I’m passionate about soccer, running, and playing the piano but I did not pay to be talented at those things I worked to be good at them and can now feel an emotional benefit from doing them.

Money can buy just about anything in life but the things that you can’t purchase are usually the things that truly make someone happy. Money can buy comfort and stability financially and can buy you a house and bring you to places in which you can make happy memories but the people that you share those memories can’t be
