We need to know the social and psychological forces that affect our client’s verbal and non verbal behavior. The cultural diverse approach would be a good technique to use in the understanding of how the individuals relate to important events in life. Human service workers should never push their own values on a client because the clients may not have the same values and beliefs. The human service worker needs to be careful that their values do not persuade or influence their client. Human service workers need to adapt their communication approach from one individual to the next by knowing who the clients are and where they come from. If a worker is talking to a homeless person, then the way they would talk would be very cautious and be aware of their behaviors and be non judgmental .
