Name: Karlijn Dirks Student number: 10674837 Tutorial Group: 2 fulltime Lecturer: drs. Francesco Campisi RA Date: 10 February 2016 Paper: 8 * Summary The papers that will be discussed in this essay all revolve around auditor reporting. For the second paper auditor tenure is the variable and for the final paper audit committee composition is the variable that will be looked at. They look at two different type of errors, type I errors occur when a going-concern modified report is issued but the client does not go bankrupt. A type II error occurs when a client does go bankrupt but prior audit reports are without going-concern modifications. The authors identify three different audit firm sizes: big 4, national (second-tier) and regional (third-tier). In this study...

...Associate Level Material Appendix A Final Project Overview and Timeline Final Project Overview You are the executive director of an established not-for-profit, community-based organization provider that offers high-quality educational, vocational, and training services to various segments of the local population. In response to the increasing dropout rate of high school students in the local community and a worsening financial situation at the local school district, the organization is considering the opportunity to offer basic skills and vocational training programs in the community. The purpose of this new program is to equip high school dropouts with necessary skills needed to gain potential employment opportunities. As an executive director, justify the reasoning behind this new program and develop a complete launch plan, including a budget and consideration of environmental factors. You must determine how data will be used to support the new program and consider human resources issues affecting this new program. The organization has these issues to consider: • The local economy situation is depressed due to steady job losses resulting from employers relocating to other cities and communities that offer better economic incentives to employers. As a result, local property taxes that support funding of high school programs have declined singifantly in recent years. The reduction has caused the local school district to lose significant financial resources...

...Luke Singer Megan Peters English 111 10/7/12 You’re My God Damn Hero http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-XWhH2VSXk There may not be a better ending to a movie that has been released in the last ten years. The ending of Taking of Pelham 123 includes a face-off between good and bad, with guns drawn, and both men up against a wall, creating a dramatic and suspenseful ending to a fantastic movie. As if the film did not have enough action in it, the last scene alone can provide enough white knuckles in the audience to fulfill any demands from the public audience. However, before anyone thinks that this sort of ending just “happens” without a lot of thought and attention to detail, think again. The director, Tony Scott, created the perfect concoction in the last scene to produce something that was unforgettable and that left the audience with a good taste in their mouth as they finished the movie. Through years of directing, this may come more easily to Scott, but the untrained eye would have no idea where to start if they were to put together this last scene. Many factors are working together here that need to be broken down to experience the full effects of what is going on. The multiple forms of rhetoric, with addition to other factors such as camera angles, target audience, and word choice, built a scene that can be analyzed from the inside out. The use of rhetoric here is different than how it may be used in a commercial. Instead of persuading someone to purchase...
