The area of interest, Japhet Creek Linear Park is located in south-central Harris County in Houston, Texas. This park is located in the lower 5th Ward. Since the sewage leak in Japhet Creek occurred on October 2016 chemicals and waste directly contaminates the water. This contamination affects people in the area in the aspects of water, air, and soil contamination. In this research, water contamination will be more focused.
