Who has the stronger argument, Susan or Jason’s children? Why?

In this case Jason’s children have the stronger argument. According with the book Business Law by LeRoy and Hollowell on the page 522 under the title “Wills”, it’s stated that “A will is the final declaration of how a person desires to have his or her property disposed of after dead”. In this case when Jason did his will after sending the letter to Susan he had to stipulate that the violins will belong to his niece after Jason’s death. Even if Susan stipulate that Jason’s children had never picked up a violin or they were stranged of his father, Jason’s last wish was that his children were the sole owners of his estate.

If you were the jury hearing this case, for whom would you decide? Why? …show more content…
In the book on the page 522 it’s mentioned that “a will is a formal document that must follow exactly”. Additionally it’s stated that the letter that Jason sent to Susan was produced by her so in this case the “will” can’t be considered as valid because we the jury don’t know if there was witnesses or if the letter was signed by Jason. Besides Susan’s attorney mentioned that there was a symbolic delivery the violins would not be considered as a gift because in order to be considered as a gift it’s needed to be “an effective delivery requires giving up complete control of, and dominion (ownership rights) over, the subject matter of the

...Theme of Revenge in Homer's Odyssey Homer’s The Odyssey is not just a tale of a man’s struggle on his journey home from the Trojan War, but of his struggle from the consequences of revenge. The Odyssey weaves in different characters’ tales of revenge from the gods and what impact revenge actually had on those characters. Revenge is an important underlying theme in The Odyssey because, in essence, it explains why Odysseus’ journey was so prolonged and treacherous. A few examples of revenge in the poem include Orestes’ revenge on Aegisthus, Zeus’ revenge on Odysseus and his men, and Poseidon’s revenge on Odysseus. These different examples of revenge in The Odyssey show the importance of the gods’ revenge in the epic journey of Odysseus. Orestes’ revenge is the first important example of the gods’ revenge in the poem. In Book 1, Hermes told Aegisthus, “’Don’t murder the man,’ he said, ‘don’t court his wife. Beware, revenge will come from Orestes…” (Homer 260). King Nestor delivers the story of Orestes’ revenge to Odysseus’ son Telemachus, while Telemachus is visiting Nestor to discover answers about his fathers’... The War with Catiline. The War with Jugurtha TRANSLATED BY J. C. ROLFE REVISED BY JOHN T. RAMSEY Sallust, Gaius Sallustius Crispus (86–35 BC), a Sabine from Amiternum, acted against Cicero and Milo as tribune in 52, joined Caesar after being expelled from the Senate in 50, was restored to the Senate by Caesar and took part in his African campaign as praetor in 46, and was then appointed governor of New Africa (Numidia). Upon his return to Rome he narrowly escaped conviction for malfeasance in office, retired from public life, and took up historiography. Sallust’s two extant monographs take as their theme the moral and political decline of Rome, one on the conspiracy of Catiline and the other on the war with Jugurtha. For this edition, J. C. Rolfe’s text and translation of the Catiline and Jugurtha have been thoroughly revised in line with the most recent scholarship. Vol. I. ISBN 978-0-674-99684-7 LCL TRANSLATED BY E. C. MARCHANT O. J. TODD REVISED BY JEFFREY HENDERSON This volume collects Xenophon’s (c. 430 to c. 354 BC) portrayals of his associate, Socrates. In Memorabilia (or Memoirs of Socrates) and in Oeconomicus, a dialogue about household management, we see the philosopher through Xenophon’s eyes. Here, as in the accompanying Symposium, we also obtain insight on life...

...the network together. For example: telephone lines, fibre-optic cables, routers and gateways, and the computers themselves. The software is what enables us to use the hardware for communication and exchanging information. Just as your brain tells your body parts how to function and work together, the software governs the way computers in the network communicate with each other and perform functions. Software that enables networking follows a set of rules that are generally referred to as protocol. Networks can be interoperable. This means that different types of computers, using different operating systems, can be connected, communicate with each other, and share information - as long as they follow the network protocols. [pic] In Summary: A network is a group of two or more computers, connected together through a physical infrastructure, that are able to communicate and exchange information because they agree to use software that observes the same set of rules, or protocol. WHAT IS THE INTERNET? • A network of networks • Based on TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) • Global • A variety of services and tools A network of networks, or "internet," is a group of two or more networks that are: • Interconnected physically • Capable of communicating and sharing data with each other • Able to act together as a single network Machines on one network can communicate with machines on other networks, and send data...
