The Teaching Guidelines
When we are born we are taught guide lines. We don't just wake up and do as we please because with every action is a lesson along with it. Lessons are taught to children, parents, teachers, police officers, and such more. However, when reading "Lazy Lawrence," the lesson is being taught to children about being caring, hardworking and preserving. This is the teaching guidelines to children while ready something that will keep their mind moving.

Jenn showed demonstration of caring in the story "Lazy Lawrence" when it came to what he saw around him. The one person he showed how caring he was, by helping his mother Presto. He was capable to demonstrate his care for her by helping around with her farm. The farm is a very big importance to the family because that is their survival for a daily basis. Now that his mother is older she is not capable to do as much as she's used to because she's now older. On the farm they have live animals such as chickens, cows, horses and others. Also, including fruit and flowers of varieties that she's had over the years and this here teaches children to help those to whom they care for and being a helping to others around them.
Hardworking is another demonstration in the story as well. In the story Jenn shows hard work by helping his mother with the land. The duties he had accomplished was weeding the grass, cleaning the live stock of whatever mess the animals had made. Also, running the errands that his mother was longer able to do on a normal basis, with his mother Presto not working much and not having the money pay rent the family has came to danger. Jenn seeing how the family is struggling he goes to get a job and help as much as he can. This shows children that actions affect those around you and yourself for the better.
Finally, showing the effort that he puts in his work, for example, when Jem was working in a garden a lady came out and spoke to him about how his effort is shown. When doing work that's important but for someone to notice that amount of time put in to what you do is amazing. Demonstrating to children that you have to put care into the work that you do so it's appreciated more. That the amount of time you give to what you do will be well worth every second of it.
In conclusion, the story "Lazy Lawrence" teaches great values to young children. Demonstrates that values can be taught in different ways through stories to make it more interesting. While reading this story you notice the lessons being taught to children is be caring, hardworking and preserving. However, to continue on with what you do your surroundings are you're motivation to have strong feelings for your work.

...Exam Question: Compare the ways the poet reveals feelings about a place in `Nothing’s changed` with the ways another poet reveals feelings about a place? Both poems talk about how division and segregation can cause two societies to be pushed apart from each other. Division is a key theme running through both `Nothing’s changed` by Tatmkhulu Afrika and lawerence felinghetti`s `two scavengers in a truck…`. In `nothing’s changed` division is a key aspect of the whole poem shown through symbolism and certain language. An example of this is when the emphasizes the whites as “new, up-market, haute cuisine” with “bunny chows” and “plastic table`s top”. These phrases suggest to us that there is a huge division in society as `plastic` is for those who are poorer in contrast to `haute cuisine` which is upper class choices. This is also presented in `Two scavengers…. ` when the poet emphasizes the division in society by contrasting the rich with the poor. An example of this is when he describes the rich as “casually coifed” and the poor as “grungy” with “iron hair”. These phrases suggest to us the stark contrast between the rich and the poor. I have also learnt through symbolism there is a lot of struggle in society, and how differences in appearance can determine your status in society. Stereotyping is a core theme in both poems. In `Two scavengers…` stereotyping is a key point throughout the whole poem. An example of this is when the poet describes the rich as “elegant”......

...Juliets downfall. Fate is a power that predetemines events and controls destiny. In the story, William Shakesphere is controlling Romeo and Juliet, which brings fate at fault of the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. It was fate that brought Romeo and Juliet together, and made their family’s rivalrys. It is also what brought them to their downfall. If Romeo and Juliet had never met at the party, Friar Lawrence had never married them, and Juliets father wasnt forceing her to marry Paris, none of this would have happened. Fate in this story is unavoidable. Frair Lawerence played a huge role in Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. A Friar is looked up to and held responsible alot more. The Frair should have known better then to marry two young teenagers, just to end the families feud. The plan the Friar had to keep Romeo and Juliet together was insufficiently thought out which ultimatly was a major part in the tragedy. Even though Friar Lawerence knows that both the Monatague’s and Capulet’s wont be very happy with his descion to marry them, he still continues to do so. If Frair Lawrence wasnt stupid enough to keep the secreat, none of this would have happened. Juliet would have never dranken the potion, and therefore neither would have Romeo. Romeo’s immature ways also led to the tragedy. Romeo first met Juliet because he needed someone to get over Rosaline, his ex girlfriend. According to domestic violence statistics, every year, more than 3 million children witness domestic violence in their homes and children who live in homes where there is domestic violence also suffer abuse or neglect at high rates (30% to 60%)(Safehorizen.org). Furthermore, a 2003 study found that children are more likely to intervene when they witness severe violence against a parent – which can place a child at great risk for injury or even death (Safehorizen.org). Starting over is difficult, especially for victims of domestic violence running from an abuser in search of a better and safer life (JENN, 2001). From the assessment test the results touched base in many areas for the career I’m interested in such as psychology. My test results are : * conscious of existence , meaning, purpose, potential and destiny of humankind, people, and self. * Motivated by a self-felt, self-accepted calling to cause of good , growth, and gain in the lives of others. Influential communication of ideas is a primary way of achieving those objectives. Perception and thinking tend to be holistic and conceptual ; as myself seeing the big picture. Working with people my results showed how I will interact of a person with other persons. The results explains that I feel both privilege and responsibility to use communication ( including persuasion) to voluntarily provide beneficial information to others. This includes strongly motivated benevolent and literary traits. Self – satisfaction comes almost exclusively from the subjective realization that the information , voluntary given, has been helpful to others. Further it stated that my motivation to learn and understand the other persons needs wishes and listening preferences. ...What Sociological theories present themselves in the movie American History X? Sociology is defined as the study of human behavior and how society impacts us as individuals and as groups. From that definition you know that the setting of the movie has the biggest impact on how the characters are going to act as individuals and as groups. Groups play a major role in this movie. The topic of Nature and Nurture can also be talked about. I believe that there are only two major theories that pertain to American History X and that is Control theory and Labeling Theory. Everything that occurs in this movie trickles down from Control Theory and Labeling Theory. Let me just describe to you the family, setting and the main character in American History X. Derek, the main character, is a young, intelligent very impressionable young man who is raised in a middle class family in Pasadena, California. Pasadena, California is a beach town that is very diverse in ethnicity and has many gangs. Derek’s father kind of instills racism in his children by telling them that illegal immigrants are coming into America and stealing the white man’s jobs. Now Control Theory comes into play when Derek’s father is murdered. I brought up that Derek is very impressionable because he kind of loses it at this point and starts to blame everything bad that is happening in his life on blacks and anybody that is not white like him. He becomes very deviant. The topic of Nature and Nurture comes into......

How Personal Can Ethics Get

...organizational ethics. As stated Hellriegel and Slocum (2010, pg. 34), according to Lawerence Kohlberg theory, individuals’ mature through six stages of moral development. Harrison and Pietri (1998) also states, that the six stages are broken down into three different levels which consist of low, middle, and high. Harrison and Pietri (1998) states the lowest level of moral development is also known as the “pre-conventional” level. This level consists of the first two stages of moral development, which is obedience and punishment, as well as the instrumental stage. According to Harrison and Pietri (1998) individual usually evaluates ethical dilemmas in order to avoid punishment or seeking personal rewards. Hellriegel and Slocum (2010, pg. 35) states that organization do not want individuals that have not matured past this level, because of their simple reasoning of thinking. Individuals that are still in the pre-conventional level, personal difference and preferences could have a tremendous impact on organizational ethics. Individuals in these stages make decision based on following the rules to avoid being reprimanded. On the other hand, individuals in this stage also follow the rules in something for return. For example, an individual report to work every day for a whole year in order to get a free trip to an amusement park.
