Jennie Finch, mom of two, but better known as one of the best softball players that has ever played. She has won multiple titles and has lots of wins under her belt. Within that I’ll be putting across information from her childhood into her life as an adult today. Starting off with her adolescence, accomplishments, and finalizing with why she is so important.
Finch was born September 3, 1980 in La Mirada California. La Mirada offered a year round league, which she joined just after her fifth birthday party. She had a naturally strong arm and could heave it out of sight. So with that she began taking fast-pitch lessons, but it didn’t stop with that her father transformed a trampoline into a pitch-back to when he worked late. She advanced in this sport outstandingly fast exceeding to playing with a ten and under traveling all star team. Every weekend was spent at a different diamond somewhere in suburban Southern California. The more competitive the environment, the more Jennie thrived. At age 12, she led the California Cruisers to the 12-and-under American Softball Association national title in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She went to the Olympics 2 times and pitched for her team all the way through. finch herself thinks that her greatest softball accomplishment was getting the gold medal. She also accomplished getting an award for striking out the most ever in 2004.She received a silver Medalist at 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. team USA She as well as set an NCAA record. In 2010 she got World Champions, Caracas, Venezuela 2010 World Cup Champion 2010 All NPF Team 2010 NPF Regular Season Champions 2010 Nominated for the Women's Sports Foundation Team Sport Athlete of the Year all on the team USA.
