This case study is concerned with the Pennsylvania State University and Jerry Sandusky child sexual abuse scandal. The study details how Jerry Sandusky, a model citizen, and sports icon was in fact; a serial child rapist (Crandall, Parnell & Spillan, 2013). Additionally, the initial material goes on to relate how Sandusky’s criminal activities were known for decades but covered up to protect the University as well as the football program. Later in the case, as Sandusky’s pattern of conduct begins to unravel; details are provided to show how this information was not only kept from the Board of Trustees but was minimalized.
