Innocentive Business Model, and is distributed widely in markets and around the world. The business model of crowdsourcing pioneer INNOCENTIVE is quite similar to a question-answer web forum on the web. Main stakeholders in this model • The “Seeker”- The Company, organization or individual who is looking for an answer to a problem or a question. • The “Solver” – Individuals who are willing to answer to the questions or problems, usually giving a good solution based on experience or their idea • The “Observer” –Though this does not appear on their company page, INNOCENTIVE acts as a moderator to guide the two parties. The “Seeker” (it can be a corporation, governmental entity, nonprofit organization or partners) registers to INNOCENTIVE site and sets: 1. The question or problem to ask, 2. Set the amount of reward when the problem is answer to the “solver” 3. And, set the deadline, by when the problem would like to be solved. The “Seeker” will also pay a fee each time the problem is posted. The amount of the reward will be decided by the “Seeker” and INNOCENTIVE, based on such criteria as how effective the answer/idea was, or by how much profit it would bring to the “Seeker”. On the other hand, the uniqueness of this model is that the “Solver” and the “Seeker” remains anonymous, and the “Solver” could have various backgrounds not necessarily linked with the “Seeker’s industry. This has been proven effective in the past when the 2007 Exxon oil spill removal method was......

The Host

...really changed and got some focused off the movie. One of the main character difference that I found interesting was the Seeker. The Seeker from the movie was not what I expected after reading the novel. While reading a novel I always have interesting thoughts such as, what if there was a movie that portrayed this book? Would all the scenes be shown on the movie or would they take some out? Would the characters look the way they are described? As I was reading the novel ‘The Host” I imagined and made pictures in my head of how each character looked by the way the book described it. I would always have the picture in my head of how the characters looked to me. After finishing the novel and proceeding to watch the movie I expected the characters to look somewhat how I imagined. First of all Melanie looked somewhat how I imagined, young and innocent looking. I imagined Wanda like some sort of bright, flashy soul looking thing, and that’s how it kind of looked in the movie. Yet, I found one big difference in a character. The Seeker did not look nothing like I imagined or how it was described in the novel. In the novel ‘The Host” the Seeker is a small lady, dark-haired, and dressed mostly in black. I imagined her evil looking, with a serious face and a very dark person. Yet, in the movie it was a whole different appearance. In the movie “The Host” the Seeker is very blonde, stands regally on some serious wedge heels, dressed in a futuristic cream-colored pant suit and does...

Shauna negotiated with Mr. Hamid and agreed to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday for seven hours a day for 21 hours a week at $10 per hour. In this agreement Shauna would be put on a three month probationary period, which consisted of no time off, vacation, sick days or holidays off. ...occurred? | My co-worker thought that I was trying to take over as the representative of his student. | How could the misunderstanding have been avoided? | The misunderstanding could have been avoided if the co-worker would have called me back before going to his supervisor. | In this situation, I was the one who made the first mistake; that being that I didn’t put my notes into our database when my student referred her husband as a possible student. My student’s husband then called the next day and spoke with my co-worker, Michael, who took all of his information and enrolled him. I received a phone call from my student the next asking why I had told her one thing and Michael had told her husband another. With Michael being new to the job, I thought he made a simple mistake, so I called and left him a voicemail suggesting that we talk about the students to make sure that we were on the same page in what we were telling our students. I then wrote my supervisor an email telling him what I did and said. Michael, upon hearing the message, went to his supervisor because he had the impression that I was trying to take his student from him. His supervisor went to mine asking what was going on. My supervisor explained everything and the matter was resolved. As a result, both the students did not complete the enrollment process or start school. The main thing I learned from this whole ordeal was to make sure that all of my notes are complete and to make sure...

Is Managing Role Ambiguity the Number One Challenge Facing Employers in the Silicon Age?

...director. The participant group was asked to self-report on perceptions of role ambiguity, experienced levels of anger, anxiety and workplace threat appraisal. In this study, participants were asked questions as to whether they fully understood what was expected of them at work on a day-to-day basis regarding particular tasks, or a range of tasks.
