Jobs in the ICT sector

From using research through websites on the internet and I have this list of them in all aspects of every job like I have the IT Technician to a Liberian.
In the ICT world there are a lot of factors that come into being a Technician or any other job involved with ICT, skills that have been developed through time will be highly praised to interviewer and obviously increase the chances of you getting a job.
From the website I have visited the average wage a graduate should expect to earn is £24-27K per year. It can be as little as £8000 but through time depending on your progress it can go up to about £37000.

Telecoms are a huge part of employer in the in the ICT industry, the employ thousands of workers each year to do the task of their work. As Telecommunication starting to become one of the biggest sector of industry in places like Scotland, not only the telecommunication is become bigger and bigger but the aspect of the actual computers change every year, new technology that is being invented is a huge part of why the whole world is looking towards ICT to be a huge part of the world.
From a website I was doing some research on called E-Skills, The employment of IT professionals is forecast to rise by 1.62% a year, up to 2020. And, up to 2015 there is a need for 9,600 new entrants a year to enter IT and Telecoms professional job roles, and this is all because of the major advancement of computers all around the world.

Through some research I have done, I have seen that the ICT industry takes up about 5% of the job intakes and employment in the UK. All of these are actually in the UK but are mostly based around the London area with 1,391 businesses per 10,000 residents. So if you are looking for a life in ICT in a major company you will most likely have to relocate to another part of the country. But this doesn’t mean it’s always

Information and Communication Technologies in the Nigerian Economy

... Peter Agada University of Ilorin Most developing nations have embarked on various reforms that foster the use of ICTs in their economies. These reforms tend to yield little or minimal benefits to economic growth and development, especially when compared with the developed countries of the world. Technological advancement is known to impact fast rate of economic development. In Nigeria, policy on adoption of Information and Communication Technologies was initiated in 1999, when the civilian regime came into power of government. The operations of the licensed telecommunication service providers in the country has created some well-felt macroeconomic effects in terms of job creation, faster delivery services, reduced transport costs, greater security and higher national output. This study intends to investigate the emerging roles of ICTs on Nigerian economy, and to evaluate the factors that influence the decisions of investors in the Nigerian telecommunications sector. Ordinary Least Square Method of Regression for the period 1999 – 2004, shall be employed. This period is considered appropriate in that, it was the time that policy on ICTs was adopted. The paucity of data prior to this time also poses restriction on meaningful econometric analysis. Significant and positive relationship between ICTs and economic growth is expected as it is portrayed in some economic literature. While telecommunication service providers receive commensurate...

...“Analyse the current government’s argument that the nature of jobs created within an economy dictate the degree of success rather than the amount of jobs”. 1. Introduction The Irish economy has changed greatly in the last Forty years. An educated workforce and Urbanisation of our towns and cities has seen an industry shift. There are a number of important factors that allowed this to happen so quickly. Ireland’s membership of alliances such as the E.U. and the O.E.C.D and the directives that were incurred as a result of these memberships. More recently in the Nineties the economy had enjoyed a period of prosperity which was generally accredited to the provision of subsidies to knowledge based industries such as I.T., Financial Sectors and Research & Development. This coupled with a desirable location and a new highly educated workforce. As stated in the department of finances report in 2011 the economy experienced imbalances due to bad auditing systems in the banking and building sectors. “The Irish economy was transformed over the past two decades. Per capita income rose strongly, converging towards and subsequently overtaking European average levels. However, from the early part of the last decade, imbalances began to emerge which made the economy increasingly vulnerable. A major property bubble began to unwind from 2007, and the fall-out from this was exacerbated by the major deterioration in the external environment...

...Challenges/Opportunities * Immigration/Emigration: The I.T sector is currently suffering greatly due to the emigration of the countries young graduates. This ‘Brain Drain’ means that though there are plenty of jobs in the I.T sector there aren’t enough people to fill them. The number of new graduates leaving was higher than at any time in the previous six years, and almost half (47%) of everyone who left had a third-level education in the 12 months to April this year. The I.T graduates are also leaving the country due to better opportunities in their fields in other countries, such as the UK, the US and Australia. (Irish Examiner , 2014) * Skills Shortages In its ‘ICT Skills Audit’, Fastrack to IT (FIT), estimates that there are 4,500 vacancies in Ireland’s ICT sector. These are not being filled, because of “the severely limited supply of suitably skilled applicants”. The study, shows that many of the vacancies are at the intermediate-skills level, and could be filled after training programmes of six to 24 months. FIT runs courses enabling people to re-skill. The sectors with most job vacancies include digital/creative media, contact centre support, games development, cloud computing, PC maintenance and mobile technologies. (Percival, 2013) * The Economy ICT is not only one of the fastest growing industries, directly creating millions of jobs, but it is also an important creater of innovation and development. Introduction & Conclusion Introduction: On the eve of the 21st century we are heading towards a world which is entirely dependent on ICT. Scientifically, everyone knows that the world is sphere, however the world can still be considered as flat because of the blessings of Information Technology. In the last fifty years or so, the world has been moving so fast technologically that an enormous demand for IT has developed globally. In light of the outsourcing phenomenon, Bangladesh should leapfrog into the ICT Sector. Bangladesh has some competitive advantages over other outsourcing options (China and India) in terms of its potential population in the ICT sector. Unfortunately in Bangladesh, there are technology challenges caused by the country’s infrastructure problems. Some of these problems include poor telecommunication facilities, few software development firms in country (to help develop local talent and expertise), and lack of eGovernance policies. One positive is that the country is now linked with the submarine cable, which will help facilitate better internet and telecommunications...

...AS A MANAGER JUSTIFY THE USE OF ICT IN YOUR ORGANIZATION MY ORGANIZATION IS A COMMERCIAL BANK The Concept of ICT and a Perspective of Nigerian Banks Technology can be referred to as the application of knowledge for the execution of a given task. It entails skills and processes necessary for carrying out activities (works) in a given context. While ICT encompasses computer systems, telecommunication, networks, and multimedia applications (Frenzel, 1996). It came into use in the late 1980’s replacing earlier terms like Electronic Data Processing (EDP), Management Information System (MIS), although the latter terms are still in use (Frenzel, 1996). ICT has transcended the role of support services or only electronic data processing; its fields of applications are somewhat global and unlimited. Its devices especially the Internet through the World Wide Web (www) and modern computer email facilities have further strengthened early innovations like the telephone and fax. ...the election in Bangladesh in 2008 with Obama-like campaign strategy-the call for 'change', which has been responded widely by the Bangladeshi citizens. However, the focus here is Digital Bangladesh, widely accepted by Bangladeshi people from all walks of life. Not too many people understood the concept of digital Bangladesh but they believed it, as something related to information technology. It has been widely accepted by a good number of young voters, believing that the concept of Digital Bangladesh will solve most of our national crisis involving corruption, unemployment, illiteracy, poverty and price-hike. Even though without knowing Bangladesh has already gone through a bit of experience on digitization through few national level of ICT projects, such as, Chittagong Customs Automation System, selection process of teletalk mobile user through internet, project initiated by the pervious government on machine-readable digital passport system and finally the successful computerization of national voter ID. However, we have full trust and faith in our newly elected government, that hopefully one day, it will give us the gift of Digital Bangladesh, as promised, by year 2021. But our fundamental question here is how digital Bangladesh will be built and how will it impact on our daily life, the economy and society at large. Is digital...
