John Wilber Hohnsbehn, Jr. was born on 6/21/56 to Leona Mary Hohnsbehn (Spurgeon) and John Wilber Hohnsbehn, Sr. at Woodiver Township Hospital in Woodriver, IL. Both of his parents have passed away. John Sr. passed away from cancer and Leona passed away from a massive stroke. John states they were wonderful, caring, loving parents. As adults, his father became his best friend. His family home was normal and stable. His family attended church weekly and went to religion classes. He held very close relationships with family and friends. Some of his favorite memories were family vacations. They camped and fished, played baseball and just played. John does not have a connection to Forest Homes, but Bunker Hill he frequently visits to see his brother. John's parents discipline differed depending on the seriousness of the sistuation; ranging from givng explanation, extra chores, or saying I'm sorry. John has two siblings. One brother, Bruce E. Hohnsbehn, 55 yr old, lives in Bunker Hill, IL and a sister, Theresa L. Smith (AKA Hohnsbehn), 61 years old, lives in East Alton, Il. John is close to his siblings and talks to them almost daily, they attend family gatherings, and help each other when needed. They love each other. John graduated from Civic Memorial High School 1974. He attended Lewis and Clark College 1975-1980 reciving an Associates in Criminal Justice. He continued his education at Lewis and Clark College 2004-2006 obtaining an Associates in Applied Science-Nursing. In 2006 John attended McKendree College to work on his Bachelors in Nursing, but he did not complete the courses. John stated that he was an good student in school earning A, B, and C's in high school, but once in nursing school he only obtained A's. John has been married three times. John's first marriage was to Pamela L. Smith on Jan 15,
