Almost two decades ago, a young six-year-old beauty pageant contestant named JonBenet Ramsey was murdered in her family’s basement on December 25th, 1996. She was found the following day by her father and a neighborhood friend who were looking through the basement to find anything that looked suspicious. From a critical stand point, the investigation has several holes. The autopsy revealed that she died from strangulation and a skull fracture. 1.) The police told John Ramsey to search for his daughter himself after his wife, Patsy Ramsey called 911 telling them about a ransom note left in their home. John Ramsey and a neighbor found his daughter in the basement of the house. They took JonBenet upstairs which contaminated the crime scene …show more content…
He claimed the evidence obtained from the crime scene was insufficient. They made it appear that it was most likely an intruder that murdered JonBenet.

3.) It was admitted that the Boulder police complicated the investigation with little to no experience on how to properly investigate a murder, loss of evidence, and delaying the interview process with the parents of JonBenet.

The ransom note that Patsy Ramsey found was written in their home which police found odd that an intruder would leave a note at the crime scene. The ransom note demanded 118,000$ for JonBenet’s return, which was the exact bonus that John Ramsey received earlier that year. Police suspected that Patsy Ramsey wrote the note because the handwriting was almost identical. The police and FBI suspected that the letter was staged as a way to make the Ramsey parents look innocent. Also, there was no sign of a forced entry.

The interviews that Ramsey’s agreed to do made a lot of people suspect the parents even more because they seemed so calm and nonchalant about the fact that their six-year-old daughter was murdered in their own house; they seemed

Case Report: Who Murdered Jonbenet Ramsey

...Who Murdered JonBenet Ramsey? From researching the murder of JonBenet Ramsey and watching “The Case Of: JonBenet,” I believe that JonBenet’s brother, Burke killed her and their parents covered it up to protect their son. John and Patsy obviously succeeded because to this day, no one knows who killed JonBenet. I have many reasons behind why I think Burke Ramsey killed his six-year-old sister. One reason is because of the evidence at the crime scene. Another reason being the marks on JonBenet’s body. The last reason for me to believe Burke killed his sister is because of what he said and how he was acting when he was interviewed two weeks after JonBenet’s death. In my opinion, the evidence found in the Ramsey house after JonBenet’s death points...

John now regret putting his child in pageants and says they are bad for young girls. Beauty pageants are beautiful but they can cause pain in different ways. Children beauty pageants are bad because they are sexualize young girls, wear high heels, cause cognitive and emotional problems. French lawmakers want an all-out ban on child pageants. They are accusing the media and reality TV of promoting stereotypes that transform young girls into sexual morsels. Look at the growing number of schoolgirls as young as 8 who wear padded bras, high heels, or makeup, and strike suggestive poses. What is that telling the children about how they present themselves to society? In the other hand, children in pageants can carry over into a multitude of other activities, like dance, drama, music recitals, and future public speaking. A pageant girl usually learns to be comfortable in front of strangers, giving her self-confidence a big boost When little pageant contestants wear heels it unnecessarily pushes their weight forward, causing lower back pain and hindering proper development of the feet. Criminla Investigation

...Based on the Jon Benet Ramsey case some of the evidence that would help to solve the case would have been Fingerprints that may have been taken from the window that was supposedly broken from the previous summer. Written documents such as the ransom letter that was left at the crime scene. If the window was broken from the outside there should be footprints or smudge marks in the dirt from the intruder and also the broken glass from the window. John Ramsey stated that the glass in the basement was broken from the outside and in order for the investigators to determine if the glass was truly broken from the outside they can check to see if there is any glass outside of the house below the window just like john found pieces of glass inside the house. Also they can look at the different shapes of the glass, the edges of the glass will be different if it was broken on the outside rather than the inside. The glass evidence at the Ramsey house was a very important piece of evidence because the Ramsey’s stated that the house was broken into the previous summer but the question was why John felt the need to explain the fact that his window had been broken into that previous summer before they had even found his missing child, also why is it that this man of wealth left this window broken since the summer rather than getting it fixed. The glass that was found by the broken window if taken into evidence would have been a very important piece of evidence because it would help to determine...
