Jonbenet Ramsey
Jonbenet Ramsey, a 6 year old american beauty queen was murdered and found in her own home in Boulder, Colorado on December 26, 1996. A ransom note was found, and her father John Ramsey found Jonbenet Ramsey’s body in the basement about eight hours after she was reported missing. She carried a broken skull from a blow to the head and had been strangled, a garrote was tied around her neck. The police feel that the death of Jonbenet Ramsey was caused accidentally by Patsy or Burke, Jonbenet’s brother. They believe the ransom note was used to cover it up. It was strange that John led police right into the basement where Jonbenet was found, he picked up the body from off the floor and moved it to another location.

Throughout patsy’s 911 phone call you can hear her voice change, she didn’t show much remorse and she didn’t want to answer any questions that were asked. After replaying the 911 call patsy made they heard three voices. Burke’s, Patsy’s, and John. John said “we're not speaking to you” Patsy said “ what did you do and/or help me Jesus” and Burke said “ what did you find”. The ramsey’s told police Burke was sleeping but Patsey failed to hang up the phone during the 911 call and seconds later they heard Burke in the background. After examining Jonbenet’s body you can see the rope was not tied on her wrists, it was tied on her sweater. Investigators believe her death was caused by a blood injury with a blunt object and inside the kitchen there was a flashlight found, there was no blood on the flashlight so whoever did this crime might was using gloves so that they won’t leave any evidence behind. Investigators brought a child to demonstrate what may have happened to Jonbenet. They got the child to hit the flashlight on a skull’s head and it didn’t take a huge amount of force to do it. While investigating they interviewed a woman and she explained Jonbenet and Patsy relationship and how Patsy lied to her about dying Jonbenet’s hair. She also told investigators that Burke got really upset one day and hit Jonbenet. One day she walked into the room and Burke yelled at her and told her to get out, at that moment she was shocked.

Case Report: Who Murdered Jonbenet Ramsey

...Who Murdered JonBenet Ramsey? From researching the murder of JonBenet Ramsey and watching “The Case Of: JonBenet,” I believe that JonBenet’s brother, Burke killed her and their parents covered it up to protect their son. John and Patsy obviously succeeded because to this day, no one knows who killed JonBenet. I have many reasons behind why I think Burke Ramsey killed his six-year-old sister. One reason is because of the evidence at the crime scene. Another reason being the marks on JonBenet’s body. The last reason for me to believe Burke killed his sister is because of what he said and how he was acting when he was interviewed two weeks after JonBenet’s death. In my opinion, the evidence found in the Ramsey house after JonBenet’s death points...

Central Park Jogger Case Analysis

...Instrumental-coerced confessions mean that long hours of intense interrogations without any break can lead a suspect to confess to a crime they did not commit. Even if a suspect knows they are innocent they end up confessing due to mental and emotional exhaustion caused by intense interrogation. This is evident in the case of the Central Park Jogger case where five suspects were exonerated years after they had falsely confessed to raping and beating a woman who was jogging through Central Park. Four of the five defendants had videotaped their confessions sharing gruesome details of the crime. Nevertheless, no physical or DNA evidence convicted them of the crime. Years later the perpetrator Matias Reyes, a convicted serial rapist, and murderer,...
