Religion repetition – Islam

GENERELLE BEGREBER

Myte gør den brugbar i prædikener. Skabelsesmyter, dommedagsmyter, oprindelsesmyter.

Eksegese: fortolkning

2. Bøn, salah
3. Fasten, Ramadan, saun
4. Almisse, zakat
5. Valfarten, Hadj= overgangsrite. Man går i profetens fodspor, bliver bagefter Hadji.
6. Hellig krig, Jihad. Lidt i parentes. Stor Jihad og lille Jihad. Stor=indre krig, indre anstrengelser. Lille= krig, den man hører om.

Koran og Hadith= fundamentet for søjlerne og for Sharia
Koran= Guds ord og KUN Guds ord.
Hadith= fortællinger om Muhammeds liv. Sunna. Muhammed som rollemodel.

SHARIA:
Koran
Hadith
Konsensus = Muftier bliver enige

Før-islamisk:
Polyteisme – Muhammed samler guderne til én.
Stammer
Stridigheder nomade-samfund Patriarkalsksamfund Mandsdomineret
Monoteisme – går imod polyteisme – især i hans prædikener.

Muhammed= født i 570.

Islam:
Tidsregningen starter i 622.
Umma starter også her i 622 Broderskabet/fællesskabet.

Koran:

Kvindesyn/feminisme:
Ligeværd, ikke ligestilling
Kvinder vil hellere bruge Koranen, mænd vil helst bruge Hadith-fortællingerne.
Muhammed som en kvindefrigører

Perpektiviering:
Monoeisme – kristendommen
Polyteisme: hindu
Udvikling fra velsignelsesreligion til frelsesreligion
Sammenligning af jesus og muhammed
gudsopfattelsen

Kine Activity 1

...KINE 431 Introductory Activity 10 points class participation Due: Monday, August 26 Introduction: In its most basic sense, exercise and sport physiology is the study of how the body responds, adjusts, and adapts to physical activity or exercise. Whether you've exercised on your own or played on a sports team, you have probably recognized some of these changes without realizing you were thinking about physiology. Instructions: You will perform an exercise bout that will include a warm-up, short workout, and cool-down period. Pay close attention to any physiological adjustments made by your body systems (specifically those listed below). Although some of the adjustments cannot be observed visually, hypothesize about what might be occurring throughout the activity. After you have completed the course, we will come back to this activity to see what you have learned. Write your observations of what you think the following systems/organs did while you performed the activity. How did the system/organ adapt to the warm-up, more intense exercise, and cool-down: a. Muscles * Warm – up- I take a preworkout supplement before my warm-up and my veins dilate for increased blood flow throughout my muscles. My muscles start out tight and sore from the workout before, but get warm and loose as the warm-up continues. The back of my head begins to itch due to the beta aline. * Work-out- The muscles that I am working out are filling with blood causing my...

Pushteti Ekonomi

Personal Life

... I apologize for overlooking a couple of my dealings with law enforcement. These are things are that I was not aware actually became part of my record. Here, I will outline and explain just what happened. I will also explain why I was released from two of my former jobs. In January of 1988, I was caught by Orange Police Department, as a minor in possession of alcohol. I was fifteen years old. The officer had made my friends and myself empty out the bottles of beer and hand them over. I do not recall the officer collecting our names or calling our parents. In March of 1988, I was charged with assault and battery. The boy was Dan Kine. In a normal teenage matter, he and I did not see eye to eye and rather than ignoring our issues, Kline continued to name call and challenged me to a fight. This was a pretty common occurrence when it came to Kine. I was not big on fighting, but my fifteen year old pride took over. I met the boy and we started to fight. All it took was one punch and the fight was over. Unknowingly, I broke his nose. I assume his parents pressed charges and I was charged. I spent a couple of days in juvenile hall awaiting trial. I was put on probation until eighteen and given community service. In retrospect, I had a lot of anger during this time period. My parents divorced shortly before this time period. In 1989, I was given a curfew violation. My friend and I were out toilet papering another friends house. It was all in good fun. We were detained and our...

My Preacher

...It's Not God’s Fault; Blame the Hypocrites! God has been the subject of criticism among the agnostics, atheists, the not-so believing, and the innocent. Whenever natural calamities strike humanity, the enemies of God have a ready target in the person of somebody whom they do not believe to exist — rendering themselves as idiots (Jude 1:10) “But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.” If only they are using their power to think, their allegation that, “If there is a God, why is He permitting these things to happen?”, they should have realized the truth that there are things that happen on earth beyond the control of all humanity; proving that somebody more powerful than man is doing such things. Their criticism, if investigated, will compel them to believe in the existence of God. The notion that, “If there is a God these should not happen” gives honor to God whose existence they deny. They are unwittingly proving that God is a God of goodness — who must not permit these things to happen. Let us investigate. Earthquakes (like the very recent one in Haiti), volcanic eruptions, and tidal waves are acts of God. (Job 9:5-6) “Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger. Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.” (Amos 9:6) “It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded...

How Did Oedipus Change His Fate

...He fulfilled the second part of the prophecy by solving the Sphinx’s riddle and received his prize, marrying Queen Jocasta and becoming king of Thebes. As a result of attempting to change his fate, he ends up successfully fulfilling the prophecy because he had the choice to kill King Laius and his men. In conjunction with Oedipus, the fate of Odysseus and his men are not set until they make a choice of grazing the herds of Helios. As warned by Teiresias, Odysseus is told “When you make landfall of Thrinakia first and quit the violet sea, dark on the land you’ll find the grazing herds of Helios by whom all things are seen, all speech is known. Avoid those kine, hold fast to your intent, and hard seafaring brings you all to Ithaka. But if you raid the beeves, I see destruction for ship and...

Why Winners Win

...Course Number KINE 728 Glenn Schachtner Spring 2015 What Makes Winners Win Assignment 2Winners It seems that the human race is always drawn to the winner or what they view a success. I certainly have never met anyone that wanted to be a non-winner. I do however feel that there are very real differences in the preparation given to people that are successful and those that are not. I do believe that when people become frustrated or tired of working hard (not dedicated) and not achieving success they can and will, with a lot of dedication and a little bit of knowledge a person can easily change their life and become a winner. There are several factors that separate winners from the otherwise normal person. The winner type of personality is driven. That is they will not settle for less that the best from themselves or others. They will not take no for an answer when it comes to commitment to excellence. Winners take responsibility for themselves and their destiny. They feel that they are in control of what they can be in control of. They do not blame situations or others for their hard times. They hold themselves accountable to themselves and others. Winners do understand the power in knowledge and are constantly challenging themselves to get better. They create new ways to learn. Winners think positively. They have a plan to correct bad thinking, and bad performance. They do know how to focus and refocus to a winner mentality. Winners set measurable constant...

What Is The Problem That Affect African Americans In The 1900's

...In The Color Purple, by Alice Walker, the situation of Black American in the 1900's, is a delicate circumstance in which similar problems of their predecessor are still in effect although, evolved in an indirect way. African enslavement began in 1492 and yet at the turn of the nineteenth century, African Americans were being freed in a general sense by law; however, not in society, and were slaves in their own culture. The more traditional problem that affected Blacks was the difference in skin coloring that was still had a lasting effect that resulted in indirect segregation. For example, Celie and Olivia’s mother are obviously treated poorly by a White man, yet are only to address him with respect, “She say, Yes sir. I want five yards, please...

Obstacles In The Odyssey

...and Charybdis lurks below to swallow down the dark sea tide. Three times from dawn to dusk she spews it up and sucks it down again three times, a whirling maelstrom”(Homer 61-66). This example of Charybdis tells us that she is just a giant and violent whirlpool who sucks up everything including the tides which are huge, so the choice when you pass between Scylla and Charybdis, is if you would rather lose six of your men or lose everything. The last situation is Helios and his cattle. Circe the witch told Odysseus and his men not to touch Helio’s cattle or eat them or Odysseus would be cursed, but Odysseus’s men were tempted and ate them anyways. An example of Circe telling Odysseus and his men not to touch Helio’s cattle is “Now give those kine a wide berth, keep your thoughts intent upon your course for home, and hard seafaring brings you all to Ithaca. But if you raid the beeves, I see destruction for ship and crew”(Homer 100-105). The example is telling us that Circe told Odysseus to keep his mind on focused to go home and to leave Helio’s cattle alone and it turns out that Odysseus’s men didn’t listen. I have learned from Odysseus that he does not like to follow directions and his actions from not following simple directions had caused him all of his misery and problems. ...

How to ‘Mark-to-Market’ When There Is No Market

He holds a BS in accounting from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College and a JD from Fordham University School of Law. He is the author of the 2009 award-winning article ‘Meet Two-Face: The Dualistic Rule 10b-5 and the Quandary of Offsetting Losses by Gains’. Fordham Law Review 77(6): 3045–3094. Correspondence: Samuel Francis, 321 Roselle Avenue, Cedarhurst, NY 11516, USA E-mail: samfrancis@optonline.net ABSTRACT At the center of the global financial crisis of 2007–2008 was the collapse of American International Group, brought on by extensive unhedged positions in derivatives, such as credit default swaps, and possibly exacerbated by mark-to-market accounting rules. Even though these rules generally produce the most realistic valuations of derivatives, a heated debate broke out over their application in a dislocated market. The foremost concern was that forcing financial institutions to mark down assets to their current market prices actually causes further declines. Regulators largely dismissed such concerns, but acknowledged that the existing standards could use additional clarification and modification. Many scholarly studies have since concurred that...
