A nationwide Amber alert caught the attention of people across the country when 3-year-old Mriah Woods went missing from her bedroom in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Dearly previously reported the FBI and community members joined in the search for the toddler who vanished after her mother, Kristy Woods, put her to bed on Nov. 26.

The tearful mother begged for help finding her child that disappeared from the home she shared with her live-in boyfriend, Earl Kimrey. Kristy stood in front of the cameras pleading with the person who stole her child:

“Please, bring her back ... She's my baby, she's my everything. Just to be able to touch her and hold her and not let her go again. I'd give anything.”

The country held their breath as the search went on for days until the heartbreaking news was revealed that little Mariah was dead.

Kimrey, was arrested …show more content…
No charges have been filed against Kristy following Kimrey's first-degree murder charge, according to ABC13.

WBRC reports the sheriff's office said in a news release:

Kristy Woods has been cooperative with the investigation and continues to cooperate with the detectives as the investigation continues. These additional charges do not mean the investigation is concluded but will continue until all leads and information are thoroughly evaluated.

Kimrey was originally charged with concealing of death, obstruction of justice, second-degree burglary, felony larceny and possession of stolen property before the first-degree murder charge was added.

He was held behind bars on a $1 million bond since he made his first court appearance wearing a bulletproof vest for his safety.

The judged removed the bond option after the first-degree murder charge was announced, keeping in jail under no bond. His next court date is Feb. 14.

Art History Outline

...Cesar Heyaime ART 202 Prof. Kristy Caratzola Our curiosity and our constant communication need a release, and in many cases this release takes its form through the different mediums of art. Art allows us to demonstrate whatever it is we please, and to express what our heart desires. Renaissance artists who shared this feeling created these following Masterpieces. Raphael – The agony in the Garden (Oil on wood) Raphael – Madonna and child enthroned with saints. (Oil and Gold on wood) Pietro Buonaccorsi – The holy family with the infant Saint John the baptist (Oil on wood) Bronzino – Portrait of a young man. (Oil on wood) Bachiacca – Madonna and Child (Oil and gold on wood) I chose these artworks because I am fascinated with the perception they had about “Rebirth” and their method to express it throughout art with their contemporary scientific knowledge. I also chose them to get the opportunity to learn more about this style (Renaissance) because I find it one of the most interesting styles ever to roam through the earth. -Raphael – The agony in the Garden (Oil on wood), Renaissance This piece shows Christ praying in the garden before his arrest with his disciples asleep around him. The small angel holding the chalice was an afterthought, replacing an earlier idea to have the chalice sit alone on the rocky hill. Raphael used not many colors in this masterpiece. Colors are low key rather than high key. There is more happening on the right side of the painting...

Enron the Complete Perspective

...Perspective Introduction Ken lay founded Enron almost fifteen years ago and the foundation which was laid in a Houston town is now almost a $100 billion a year corporation. Top ten in the Fortune 500 list it runs in the same league as International Business Machines Corp. and AT&T Corp. Like all Multi National Corps. Enron has subsidiaries in India, China Philippines, a water company in Britain, pulp mills in Canada and gas pipelines across North America and South America. But the real power lies in the Houston area where it is the leading supplier for electricity and natural gas. As it rose to power it had plans to enter the fiber-optic cable, TV advertising time and wood pulp and steel market. Further, it also had political interest in the nation and like all MNC's lobbied behind its candidates in this case being Bush, who is now President. This seemed to pave the way for Enron's success and put it in a prime position for pulling the strings of power. Now, however, suddenly the power dynamics have changed. From being the top Corporation in the US and the world it is now fighting to retain its stock value. Assets have been pledged to the bank, creditors are scrambling for blood and company lawyers planned to file for bankruptcy. Most of the customers that Enron boasted off have long gone. From the point of creating power it has come down to the mercies of those in power. The company had approximately 21,000 employees all in dire straits as their future and savings was in the...

...Child Study Cynthia Machol ED603 – Human Growth & Development University of New Haven March 28, 2011 Introduction As a future teacher it is important to be able to understand the physical, cognitive, and emotional changes that students are going through. Teachers must be versed in the basis of all areas of development. Teachers have a huge responsibility to give their students a positive, enlightening classroom in which they can blossom physically, cognitively, and emotionally. A teacher that understands their students’ physical development may find it easier to identify a possible cause to a problem a child is having in school. Understanding the stages of cognitive development is of the utmost importance. Knowing a child’s starting point is essential for a teacher so they can plan the right way to help move the child through their zone of proximal development. It is a teacher’s job to promote thinking abilities in their students. By asking higher order questions a teacher will help in their cognitive development. A child’s development of personality and self-esteem is important to not only their schooling, but in their whole life. A teacher can help their students establish this personality and give them multiple ways to develop their sense of self. My purpose in this child study is to be able to analyze an individual child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development and determine how the changes she is going through will affect her learning and behavior. ...

...Praise for Supply Chain Network Design “Due to the significant impact that supply chain design has on the cost and service provided by a company, it is critical that managers be knowledgeable about how to optimize the flow of products and goods within their supply chain. This book takes a very technical subject and makes it possible for managers and students alike to understand all aspects of network design. The practical approach used in discussing topics throughout the book provides a clear and excellent framework for those seeking to learn more about the topic. The book is a needed and welcome contribution to the profession.” —Dr. Mary C. Holcomb, Associate Professor of Logistics, Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, College of Business Administration, University of Tennessee “Supply chain management (SCM) is a rapidly growing area of study—and network design is one of the fastest growing areas within SCM. This book would make a great classroom textbook. It is easy to follow with clear examples and useful exercises. It is laid out in progressive layers, with one’s understanding of the subject matter building as you go. You can stop midway and be comfortable with the fundamentals, or you can go as deep as desired into Supply Chain Network Design. “I have been a long-time practitioner of network modeling, as a manager in business and as a consultant, and I have covered the topic in university lectures; I still learned a great deal about a subject I thought I...
