The Kudler Fine Foods Sales and Marketing Department is trying to implement a Frequent Shopper Program to track customer purchase trends and offer shopper incentives through a point system. This program will assist the Kudler Fine Food in creating better customer loyalty. For the current customers of Kudler Fine Foods, this program will provide more incentive to stay as a loyal customer. For new customers it will provide a reason to start shopping with Kudler foods. For specialty items instead of offering daily discounts for purchase frequency, the company will implement a points system to reward customers with redeemable points or “cash” for high-value gift items.
Customers will use a rewards membership card to accumulate points with the purchases they are making. After a few purchases, customers could be entitled to collect rewards like expensive gift items, or free specialty foods. A database will be created to store customer information. This database can use a member identification number to track the amount of points they have built up. Also, the database will be able to track customer purchases and observe trends for each product.
Program Goals
The main goals of the Kudler Fine Foods Frequent Shopper program are to encourage customer loyalty, and expand its customer pool, which should increase profits. A successful implementation of the program should augment revenue over time by better meeting customer needs and decrease costs by helping ease inventory procedures. The planning of this initiative should include individuals from each major department involved.
