...[pic] Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode |B2B Marketing Case Assignment on Kunst Vacuum Pumps | | | Authors (EPGP04-Section A): Abhishek Kumar Singh (EPGP-04A-005) Vivek Talwar (EPGP-04A-113) Question What are the major, quantifiable value and price elements associated with the Kunst 1600? Answer: Value elements ➢  Cost savings since it would not involve changing oil because the Kunst 1600 is an oil-free vacuum pump. ➢ Higher revenues, and therefore profits, due to higher output of the Kunst 1600 in lower pressure settings. These resulting higher profits are only generated in the light commercial refrigerator repair segments because in these segments the technicians can complete more jobs with a faster pump (the Kunst 1600) in comparison to the more traditional pumps. Price elements ➢ According to the respondents in the focus groups, the anticipated lifetime of their current vacuum pumps is around five years. Though, wholesale managers stipulate that most repair firms do not keep track of their vacuum pump purchases and overestimate pump lifetime.   Managers also claimed that they tracked customer firm purchases via their electronic point-of-sale......

Everyone is different, different people have different cultures, religions and experiences, so intolerance is a major problem in our lives. Intolerance is the act of not liking someone, or respecting them, because they are different. An intolerant person wants everybody to act in the same way. Intolerance is a principal problem all over the world. It has been an international problem within last 10 years, as all of the wars originate from problems such as religion, race, politics and so on. “Religious oppression and intolerance in China”, “African in America” and “Ghost Dance at Wounded Knee” all talk about intolerance problems. Firstly, I will talk about the “Religious oppression and intolerance in china”. In the last 10 years, the Chinese government relentlessly suppressed non-registered religious groups. Falun Gong is a good example of the suppressed. In order to suppress the Falun Gong and other non-registered religious movements, the Chinese government used the anti-cult movement to limit and suppress them. The Chinese government said: “Falun Gong is a cult, cults do not obey the law, they upset the social order, and they often use the deceit of creating a religious freedom and a stable society to deceive more people to join their religion. They participate in political activities, some of them even tax evasion, drug...

Kin 1600 Wellness Paper

...Kin 1600 Wellness Philosophy/ KIN 1600-2 Spring 2015 –Sleep Schedule Ever since I have begun life at college, I have found going to bed on a decent time each night a very troublesome task. I wake up feeling very tired the next morning, and I always seem in a rush to get my day started. Because of staying up so late and then not waking up on time, I am sometimes late to work or class. In addition, I find myself very tired and stressed throughout the day. This in effect makes me often irritable toward other people. I am tired of living my life in a constant flurry every morning. Thus, the behavioral change that I would like to alter is my sleeping schedule. Being tired after a night of sleep just leads to anxiety and causes even more problems for me. I am determined to fix this issue for myself by setting some goals and planning. Throughout the course of history, people did not always struggle with their sleep schedule. Virginia Tech History Professor Roger Ekirch conducted some research to study the sleeping schedule of humans in the 18th century. Before the 1800s, acquiring the recommended 8 hours of sleep per night was accomplished in two separate four-hour cycles per night. Ekirch discovered that people would actually sleep for a four-hour period, followed by a 2 to 3 hour period of wakefulness, and then another four-hour sleep cycle. This was in fact the common method of sleeping during these times. In the period between the four-hour sleep cycles,......

Kunst 1600 Case Study

...quantifiable value and price elements associated with the Kunst 1600? Value Elements - The total cost involved in oil changing and messiness is reduced Price Element - Increased pump durability -- The Kunst 1600 lasts 2 to 3 times longer than the incumbents in most segments. This means that repair firms will have to buy more conventional pumps than Kunst 1600s. This impacts the price a repair firm has to pay for conventional pumps (i.e., 2 to 3 times greater) and not the number of jobs it can complete. 2. What additional value placeholders merit consideration in your value model? • Weight differential – The Kunst 1600 is lighter than pumps currently used in residential AC repairs and heavier than those used in home refrigerator and light commercial refrigerator repairs. These weight differences may impact technician preferences. • Durability of parts – As the Kunst 1600 is constructed of molded aluminum, its parts may be subject to less corrosion and thus last longer. • Brand equity – Currently, Kunst and Atler have little brand equity in the potential market segments. This may put them at a competitive disadvantage with long-established rivals. 3. Construct a customer value model for the Kunst 1600 in the residential AC, home refrigerator, and light commercial refrigerator repair market segments.
