Lancaster County Weddings Series Review
Lancaster County Weddings is a series by Delaware based amicable novelist Rebecca Kertz. Rebecca is an Amish based novelist currently residing in the rural parts of Delaware with her husband and extended family. She was introduced to the Amish world by her loving husband having taken a job at the Amish construction crew. Rebecca’s novel interests are mainly Christian and romance based stories.
Lancaster County Weddings is a collection of 5 books with fascinating story lines making them a good read. From Noah’s sweetheart, the first installment of the series, Jedidiah’s Bride, A Wife for Jacob, Elijah and the widow and the Loving Isaac, the last installment, Lancaster County Weddings is certainly a hit. …show more content…
It is a Amish based romance story with Jedidiah and Sarah being the main characters. To begin, Sarah Mast’s mother has been sick for quite some time. This has reduced Sarah to taking care of her and her family, composed of two twin brothers. Having been pitched to taking care of her family, Sarah certainly has little to offer. She has to be overly hard working, selling baked goods to make a living.
On the other hand, Jedidiah Lapp is on a trip helping his uncle to sell wood carvings and his mother’s plants. He lives in Pennsylvania but is currently in Delaware. Jedidiah has a brother who is deeply in live. So to say, Jedidiah admires and anticipates for such. It is during this trip that Jedidiah saves Sarah’s twin brothers. He gets the twins out of danger safely from being run over by a car. This led to the meeting between Jedidiah and Sarah. Sarah offers her heartfelt thanks and a cherry pie for saving the twins. She does not expect to meet him again. Jedidiah assumes Sarah is married due to the big age gap between her brother and her …show more content…
This is where something spikes up. Sarah starts feeling something for this guy. On the other hand, Jed is curious to know more about this polite, kind and seemingly innocent beauty. He asks for permission to court her, according to the Amish cultures.
As mentioned before, Sarah’s mother has serious illness. Actually, she is scheduled to have a heart surgery. Therefore, Sarah takes her brothers to stay with her cousins so that her mother can have a peaceful recovery. She can also concentrate more and provide more care without the restless boys. However, Sarah realizes that Jed is a neighbor to her cousins. The dilemma comes in a way that it is unpredictable if Sarah can give up her hardworking life, including the care vital for her mother in Delaware behind to go and build a life with Jed in

Though narrated by different pilgrims, each of the tales is told from an omniscient third-person point of view, providing the reader with the thoughts as well as actions of the characters. TONE · The Canterbury Tales incorporates an impressive range of attitudes toward life and literature. The tales are by turns satirical, elevated, pious, earthy, bawdy, and comical. ...Praise for The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down “Fadiman describes with extraordinary skill the colliding worlds of Western medicine and Hmong culture.” —The New Yorker “This fine book recounts a poignant tragedy…It has no heroes or villains, but it has an abundance of innocent suffering, and it most certainly does have a moral…[A] sad, excellent book.” —Melvin Konner, The New York Times Book Review “An intriguing, spirit-lifting, extraordinary exploration of two cultures in uneasy coexistence…A wonderful aspect of Fadiman’s book is her even-handed, detailed presentation of these disparate cultures and divergent views—not with cool, dispassionate fairness but rather with a warm, involved interest that sees and embraces both sides of each issue…Superb, informal cultural anthropology—eye-opening, readable, utterly engaging.” —Carole Horn, The Washington Post Book World “This is a book that should be deeply disturbing to anyone who has given so much as a moment’s thought to the state of American medicine. But it is much more…People are presented as [Fadiman] saw them, in their humility and their frailty—and their nobility.” —Sherwin B. Nuland, The New Republic 3/462 “Anne Fadiman’s phenomenal first book, The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, brings to life the enduring power of parental love in an impoverished refugee family struggling to protect their seriously ill infant daughter and ancient spiritual traditions from the tyranny of welfare bureaucrats and intolerant...

Bloodlines of the Illuminati

...Bloodlines of Illuminati by: Fritz Springmeier, 1995 Introduction: I am pleased & honored to present this book to those in the world who love the truth. This is a book for lovers of the Truth. This is a book for those who are already familiar with my past writings. An Illuminati Grand Master once said that the world is a stage and we are all actors. Of course this was not an original thought, but it certainly is a way of describing the Illuminati view of how the world works. The people of the world are an audience to which the Illuminati entertain with propaganda. Just one of the thousands of recent examples of this type of acting done for the public was President Bill Clinton’s 1995 State of the Union address. The speech was designed to push all of the warm fuzzy buttons of his listening audience that he could. All the green lights for acceptance were systematically pushed by the President’s speech with the help of a controlled congressional audience. The truth on the other hand doesn’t always tickle the ear and warm the ego of its listeners. The light of truth in this book will be too bright for some people who will want to return to the safe comfort of their darkness. I am not a conspiracy theorist. I deal with real facts, not theory. Some of the people I write about, I have met. Some of the people I expose are alive and very dangerous. The darkness has never liked the light. Yet, many of the secrets of the Illuminati are locked up tightly simply because secrecy is a way...
