_______________________ | | A score of 1 or 2 in four or more areas | A score of 1 or 2 in three or more areas
Infrequent stool or stool not turning yellow | Score of less than 18 at two or more feedings Score of 1 or 2 in any two areas Less than 6-8 wets per 24 hours Milk not in
Sore nipples. | Contact the baby's medical doctor
IMMEDIATELY | | Lack of urine for longer than 12 hours.
Lack of stool for 36 hours | Lack of urine for longer than 8 hours. Dark Urine (more brown than yellow)
Dry mouth. |
Still having meconium (black sticky) stools Lack of urine for longer than 6 hours
Less than 6-8 wets per 24
Dark Urine (more brown than yellow) |
** Stool frequency is very important in the first 4 to 6 weeks. In the first few weeks, the number of stools per 24 hours is a measure of how much milk the baby is getting. The number of stools per day/week begins changing at 4 to six weeks of age. As baby's intestine matures there are fewer poopy diapers. AFTER 6 weeks of age it is not uncommon for an entirely breast fed baby to go several days without a stool. Constipation means the passage of dry, hard stools. AFTER 6 weeks of age if baby goes 3 days without a poopy diaper, call baby's doctor for advice.
Once a baby reaches 5 days of age s/he should have a MINIMUM of 6 to 8 very wet diapers in 24 hours.

Critique of the Research Article: Perspectives of Hospital-Based Nurses on Breastfeeding Initiation Best Practices

...Running head: CRITIQUE OF THE RESEARCH ARTICLE: PERSPECTIVES OF Critique of the Research Article: Perspectives of Hospital-Based Nurses on Breastfeeding Initiation Best Practices Kimberly Baird Grand Canyon University Intro. To Nursing Research NRS-433V April 21, 2011 Critique of the Research Article: Perspectives of Hospital-Based Nurses on Breastfeeding Initiation Best Practices The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the differences in breastfeeding knowledge and the implementation of breastfeeding by registered nurses in the postpartum units and the hospital policies, both formal and informal, related to the implementation and support of breastfeeding. Human milk is accepted as the ideal food source for infants for the first 6 months of life. Breastfeeding is then encouraged as a supplement to other foods until the child is 12 months of age and beyond. Both The Academy of Pediatrics and the International Lactation Consultant Association support these recommendations. CDC statistics report that in 2006 73.9% of women breastfed in the early postpartum period. This drops to 33.1% of those that are exclusively breastfeeding at 3 months of age and then drops again to 13.6% exclusively breastfeeding at 6 months. The Healthy People 2010 goals are 75% of women initiating breastfeeding in the early postpartum period and retaining 60% of those that continue to breastfeed at 3 months and 25% continuing until 6 months. These statistics fall short of those goals...

...THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE ORGANIZATIONS GO- OR STOP “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” Four Common Role-Players: 1. Central Connects: these are the people who link people in an informal network with one another. They aren’t usually the formal leaders within a unit or department, but they know who can provide critical information or expertise that the entire network draws on to get work done. Even though there is a CEO in the company, this person is very important as well. 2. Boundary Spanners: these are the people who connect an information network with other parts of the company or with similar networks in other organizations. They take the time to consult with an advise individuals from many different departments- marketing, production, for instance- regardless of their own affiliations. Connect people from different departments with each other. 3. Information Brokers: these are the people who keep the different subgroups in an informal network together. If they didn’t communicate across the subgroups, the network as a whole would splinter into smaller, less-effective segments. Connect subgroups together 4. Peripheral Specialists: these are the people who anyone in an informal network can turn to for specialized expertise. Are the specialists on the side and tend to be loners. It is important to know who these people are in the organization, because whenever you need something, these people will point you to the right direction and connect...

Branch Security

...CHAPTER 4 BRANCH SECURITY GENERAL 62. With the changing security scenario, establishment of Bank branches will require detailed consideration. No building should be selected or constructed unless it adheres to the basic security prerequisites. Security planning should start from the time we think of setting up a branch in an area. Generally, banking business and administrative considerations should and would take precedence while selecting a site but security should not be given a back seat. It must be understood that banking activity is prone to security risks and makes an area crime prone and vulnerable. The local police must be consulted regarding the proposed site of the branch. It is important that it goes on their beat map and patrols pay special attention. 63. In view of the changing security threats, it has become imperative to lay down certain guidelines for identifying the location and layout of our branches. While such guidelines could be easily implemented at new premises, it may not be feasible in our existing branches unless complete renovation is contemplated. Nevertheless, interim measures/ modifications could still be incorporated in our existing branches towards meeting the various security requirements to the best possible extent. 64. OPENING OF A NEW BRANCH (a) While selecting premises for a new branch, the ground floor space is preferable, as it is convenient, both from the public as well as from the branch staff’s point of view. Authentication is one of the primary means to gain access to secure systems. Users need to be authenticated in order to gain access to the services and sensitive information contained within the system. Due to the surge in the number of touch based smart devices, there arises a need for a compatible authentication system. Historically, fingerprints have served in its fullest capacity to establish the uniqueness of an individual’s identity. It can be detected using capacitive sensing techniques. In this paper we present a novel unified device using transparent electronics for both fingerprint scan and multi-touch interaction. We discuss a high resolution transparent touch sensitive device and a read out circuit that drives the capacitive sensor array for touch interactions at low resolutions and for fingerprint sensing at higher resolutions. Using circuit simulation and custom VerilogA model for transparent thin-film transistors...

...Introduction Globally, as well as in developed, industrialized countries, the following groups of people are at highest risk of malnutrition. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the number of people globally who were malnourished stood at 923 million in 2007, an increase of over 80 million since the 1990-92 base period. In 2006, more than 36 million people died of hunger or diseases due to deficiencies in micronutrients; accounted for 58% of the total mortality in the same year. Under nutrition contributes to almost 35% of the estimated 7.6 million deaths under-5 deaths; consequently affecting the future health and socioeconomic development and productive potential of the society. The malnourished are unable to live a normal life, are less likely to fulfill their potential as human beings and cannot contribute fully to the development of their own countries. Nutrition is the provision of adequate energy and nutrients (in terms of amount and mix and timelines) to the cells for them to perform their physiological function of (growth, reproduction, defence, repair e.t.c). The World Health Organization defines malnutrition as "the cellular imbalance between supply of nutrients & energy and the body's demand for them to ensure growth, maintenance, and specific functions”. Malnutrition comprises both; Under nutrition and Over nutrition The World Health Organization (WHO) says that malnutrition is by far the largest contributor to child mortality...
