In 8 October 2004 a young beautician from Brisbane Queensland named Schpelle Corby hit our TV screens in a powerful way. Corby allegedly smuggled 4.2kg marijuana in to Bali, Indonesia cause it was a good business move. Indonesian Immigration Officials found the drug concealed in her boogie board bag

In October 2005 the sentence was reduced to 15 years, but both sides appealed, in January 2006 the judge overturned the decision of her sentence and reinstated the 20 year jail term.

In August 2006, Corby and her legal team made an extraordinary appeal, the appeal consisted of a letter from the Australian Government official sating that there was CCTV cameras at Sydney airport and hoped that the footage would show drug being
