1. What does your report seem to suggest about your level of communication apprehension?
When I got done with the assessment I received a score of 55 which indicated I am an average CA. 2. What effect do common causes of communication apprehension noted in the reading (e.g., heredity, learned apprehension, skill deficit, etc.) have on this? Communication apprehension can manifest itself in many ways and few of the effect are Shortness of breath, Sweaty palms, Butterflies in the stomach, Shaky hands or legs, forgetting what to say, Breaking out in a rash or blotches, and Using filler words (like, um, or you know). I have a habit of using filler words, break out in blotches and forget what to say. I feel short of breath and feel shaky it’s like having a huge weight crushing me. It is truly a terrible feeling to have while trying to make a speech. After reading chapter two thoroughly, I believe learned apprehension has the most approach on this assessment. Unlike the rest, learned apprehension gave three causes on why a public speaker may feel anxious during an event. All three of those causes play a major roll during my assessment. 3. What are some ways found in this week's readings and this week's discussion about managing apprehension that may help alleviate challenges or prove useful?
I realized most of us missed up during public speaking because we were not relax and that is the most important habit we need to get custom to in order to become a good public speaker. Being organize and having your details in order keeps you on track and also keep you from using filler words. One should always base their speech on facts when relating to their audience and the use of false impersonation by a speaker in order to get the attention of his viewers is a bad idea. That alone can manipulate your audience to reject your message.

...enjoy classical music or instrumental. It is soothing, relaxing and I need to be calm while trying to focus. I don’t always need music to study there are times when it just helps when redoing notes, but not while trying to read information to be retained. My second style was Naturalistic. I enjoy the outdoors or at least an outdoor setting inside if possible. I have moved my desk next to a window with plants hanging as well as sitting around my desk. I allow my pets to join me in the room, but I pet them and sit them down on their pillow or close to my feet. I enjoy the natural lighting from the window instead of the harsh desk lamp at night. The breeze that blows through the window is relaxing to me. I keep a diffuser of lemon oil going most of the time, lemon smell makes me happy and peaceful. I tried to set up my area that makes me comfortable since I knew Nursing School would require me to sit and study away from distractions at home. While spending a lot of time in that space I wanted to make it appealing to me, not dreading to be there. I hope that this will put me in the right frame of mind while studying and help me relax, retain information and learn. My last style was Visual. I chose this category style even though I scored the same as Body and Verbal. I believe this is an area I need to focus on more for school. I enjoy making flash cards to quiz myself or if I have a study group/partner. I think I learn more by free writing/bulleting, and lots of notes. Also I believe...

The name will reflect what I am and what I can do as a business person, as person or company with integrity and ethics value. ...Professor John Kyser 15 November 2015 Develop a creative name for your Lemonade Stand, and then explain why a name is important when you are considering branding options? The name that I have chosen to go with for my lemonade stand is “The undistracted lemon squeezer”. The reason I decided to come up with this name is because, it sounds like my lemonade stand is the destroyer of all lemons. The name also makes it sound like this lemonade stand can be the bet out there. It can make any perfect glass of ice cold liquid gold, turn into amazing refreshing lemonade. I believe that my lemonade stand name is vital when I am considering marketing alternatives because I believe a name can make a difference. If it is not a catchy name, not many will notice it. People will just look at the stand and walk away if the name is just the lemonade stand. Since it’s a catchy name; it’s absolutely impossible that a client that makes a trip to quench their thirst will forget a name like the undistracted lemon squeezer. Create a Mission Statement for your Lemonade Stand (Chapter 7); then explain why a mission statement is important for any company? To me a statement of purpose is the thing that ought to help a man to continue spending their cash at a foundation. Supply and Demand

...Interactive Supply and Demand Simulation Lemonade Stand": a game that just oozes the phrase "supply and demand". "Lemonade Stand" was somewhat challenging in the gameplay; the concept, however, was simple, play through seven days, selling lemonade, while buying the components necessary to concoct said lemonade. Sounds easy, but the kicker is the part where you want to come out with as much profit as possible. I played three seven day sessions of this game, and never once did I manage to come out with a profit. It seemed as though the only time I was drawingin customers was when I dropped the price and raised the amount of sugar per pitcher, which would, needless to say, increas my spending and decrease the money I'm making. Obviously, this is not good for business. A game such as this, believe it or not, requires quite a bit of thought, and, if one hopes to be successful, a strategy. My strategy going into my first gameplay was simple: I didn't have one. My brother had played this game before and warned me that it is difficult to know what to do until you see how the customers react. If you get little-to-no customers, drop the price, then see how they react. Even after lowering the price, I was getting customers that were telling me to lower it even more, and some customers just simply said, "Mmm!" So I knew the lemonade I was producing was tasty, but many were not happy with the price. I lowered the price to fifteen cents per cup, and people started saying it wasn't good...

I am involved in the social/recreational aspect such as fundraisers, planning field trips, school events and any extra socializing involvement amongst parents, teachers and students. The school is privately own, therefore they rely on all of the events for their financial assistance. Less Is More

...Less is more Prof. Sheena Iyengar believes that the need to choose from a variety of similar products leads to customer’s paralysis, in which the majority of customers decide to abandon the purchase. She made some experiment when supermarket offered visitors a taste jam. There were two tables with jam probes: one was presented 24 options, another just 6. A lot more people stayed to try jam, where there were more options, but only 3% of them have bought jam. To the stand with 6 kinds of jam less people came, but 30% of them decided to buy it. Iyengar gives four pieces of advice to avoid the problem of consumer paralysis. First, reduce the range. Paradoxically, this will make the selection process more enjoyable for customers and increase the number of sales. For example, Procter&Gamble Company removed their nine varieties of shampoo and thereby increased the number of sales by 10%. Second, concretization. Customers can not choose from a variety of options, because they do not understand the difference between the products. Third, divide the products into categories, so it would be easier to find and choose. And finally, starting with a less complicated choice. Range of products attractive to the buyer only in theory- in reality it tiring and hinders to make a choice. Any man who has had to watch a woman while choosing clothes from the closet, knows- the more clothes in her closet, the more likely she will say that she has nothing to wear. So as a girl and a customer...

The patients began to find strength in his leadership. However, McMurphy came to realize that the very people he was defying were the same people who would determine the timeframe of his release from the hospital. When McMurphy decided to play it safe and stop bucking the system, the other patients who looked up to him were very disappointed because they did not have him to support them and they were not strong enough to fight the system alone. I never believed in the philosophy that we are our “brothers’ keeper (28).” But, because everyone relied on McMurphy to stand up and help them fight the horrible...
