To reach shared goals, everyone must do her or his part. (Johnson 148) I am engaged in a very active role in my children’s school, as the participating coordinator in the parent’s teachers association. I am involved in the social/recreational aspect such as fundraisers, planning field trips, school events and any extra socializing involvement amongst parents, teachers and students. The school is privately own, therefore they rely on all of the events for their financial assistance. I became a group member because I believe in creating a positive, productive and fun learning environment for children. In this large group of over fifty people, I demonstrate cooperative orientation and I display openness and supportiveness. We all have one aim in the group and that is to accomplish success in everything we do. We are all assign different tasks through the school year and making time to do so can be very challenging. Iyengar gives four pieces of advice to avoid the problem of consumer paralysis. First, reduce the range. Paradoxically, this will make the selection process more enjoyable for customers and increase the number of sales. For example, Procter&Gamble Company removed their nine varieties of shampoo and thereby increased the number of sales by 10%. Second, concretization. Customers can not choose from a variety of options, because they do not understand the difference between the products. I am not opposed to other sources, but in the interest of time I am not able to devote the time necessary to vet other databases outside this academia environment. There is no doubt LOIS information is credible. To ensure I have some idea how to vet information sources. I did take the time to read about how to vet informational databases for future knowledge. The way I see it understanding waiting lines and figuring out how to manage them is one of the most important areas in operation management. In companies or in private life, there are instances of procedures which generates waiting lines or queues. The reason why these waiting lines occur is for the present services facility is inadequate to provide service at that instance. As an examples when people travel by airplanes, I have personal involvements with numerous types of waiting lines or queues. To buy tickets for a movie, I normally have to stand in line at movie theater ticket office. When I arrive at an airport most of the time I stand in line to check baggage, then I stand in line again to get a seat assignment. After that I line up again for the TSA security checkpoint and the again for the last time when waiting to board the plane to scan the boarding passes.
