Love or Friendship…
What goes first?
To me fate or God decides what goes first. People have different opinion and this is one of those subjects that are an issue. Why? Because for some people love come first and for other is friendship. Although I believe in fate and God, I think both can come at the same time. The really matter is what you choose to put first.
When you meet a person it could bring thing to you love and friendship. Because when you have a partner it should also be you friend. But when you meet them for the first and you like them right away, you have to decide if it’s worth going straight to a relationship or take the time to be friends first. In that decision is where you decide which row take; failure or success.
A lot of experts say that friendship goes first. They think that being friends is going to be more efficient. Efficient in the aspect of respect, trust and know each other better. And that is totally true because that’s what friends are supposed to do. But when it comes to a serious relationship those aspects are important, but not the only ones.
I think that love and friendship goes by the same hand. Because in a friendship have to have love. And in a relationship have to have friendship. Is you who choose what to do first and if it fail or success. Only you have the power to do what best for

Love and Friendship

...Love vs Friendship What is the difference between friendship and love? This question has always been in the minds of people for centuries. Though a definite answer cannot be given for this question, one can come across some differences between the two. Love and friendship are so much related, that one cannot find any difference between the two. When love can be termed as a sacrifice, friendship can be termed as a trust. Love is a feeling that is uncontrollable, and a feeling which one has for another person. On the other hand, friendship is quite different from love in this aspect. Love is a feeling between two individuals, and only two persons are involved. On the contrary, friendship involves more individuals. One can have many friends, but a person can only have one person to love. In love, there is great attachment for the other. Most of the time an individual gets hurt if his loved one is pained or hurt. This attachment may not be seen in friendship. Regarding the emotions, individuals in love will experience a faster heartbeat when they meet. This is not so when friends meet. There is no way that one will lie awake and think of his friends for a whole night, but lovers will have sleepless nights, and dream about their lovers. The lovers even sleep and wake up with the thoughts of his or her lover. Another difference that can be seen, is that in love, some physical element is also involved between individuals. On the other hand, there is no such physical...

Love Is a Dark and Intangible Feeling That Often Exposes It's Targets to Danger, Pain and Suffering. Love Is the Pillar for Friendship, Yet It Works to Weaken Us, and Drives Us to Depend on and Be Sensitive of Others.

...Love is a dark and intangible feeling that often exposes it's targets to danger, pain and suffering. Love is the pillar for friendship, yet it works to weaken us, and drives us to depend on and be sensitive of others. Love is built on a foundation of trust, a thin barrier between formality and chaos. Which leaves room for a selected group of people to abuse the trust and take advantage. Some might argue that love brings humans together and promote cooperation, yet cooperation and unionism are two very short fangled areas, as they will soon be contaminated with betrayal and lies. Love is a dangerous component of life and it works to deceive and manipulate other people's trusts. At young ages, humans have a natural instinct to befriend people, but this is what weakens them and makes them vulnerable to power hungry people such as bullies. In kindergarten, we have watched countless children fall into the hands of bullies. These innocent children end up working as mindless slaves on behalf of the bully, or they get publically ridiculed and emotionally hurt. These malevolent children gained their sadistic powers by taking advantage of the innocent. Ingenuous children haven't seen the world as a whole yet, so they easily endow their love and kind hearts into the wrong investments. Their love has been abused, yet if there were no such a thing as love, nobody would get hurt. Jealousy, which buds from the tree of love, motivates people to commit irrational actions. Most causes of...

...How are the thoughts and feelings presented in the extract from Origin of the Species? Compare to War of the Worlds. The extract from Darwin’s Origin of Species – ‘Recapitulation and Conclusion’ – presents Darwin’s final ideas of Natural Selection and to convince and challenge the scientific community, as well as the general population due to the religious controversy. Similarly to Darwin’s extract, the novel ‘The War of the Worlds’ by H. G. Wells also challenges traditional thinking and presents ideas of Natural Selection. However, indicates a sense of fear and shock at the rate of changing opinions which are presented through language, structure and form. Both the extract and the novel present ideas of change in the fields of science and religion. Darwin presents the idea that science is much more powerful than originally thought. Although, does not dismiss religion, therefore creating a balanced argument, which makes his theologies more accepted by the readers. ‘…not as special creations, but lineal the descendants…’ This quote is representative of Darwin’s controversial ideas as he is disagreeing with past assumptions by suggesting a limit to God’s power – ‘not as special creations...’, highlighting that man or God has...

It’s important to know the notions of these feelings and their characteristics to avoid possible mistakes. Nichomachean Ethics

...focuses on the different types of friendship, how the friendships form, and how long they last depending on the reasons for the friendship. This paper will focus on the types of friendship as advanced by Aristotle, illustrate what he meant by saying friendship based on virtue and my views towards this subject. Aristotle differentiates between three types of friendship. First, he singles out mutual, recognized love among people with respect for one another. Their friendship is for mutual benefit. They love each other for the good they get from each other. These kinds of friends wish each other well in respect of the love they have for one another. The second class of friends according to Aristotle is those who love for pleasure. They do not get into friendship because they admire each other’s character but because they derive pleasure from one another. In this type of friendship, one looks at the pleasure that is derivable from the friend. The friendship continues as long as there is pleasure derived. For this reason, this type of friendship is only incidental. The friendship dissolves away easily in case one friend ceases to get the pleasure previously derived or if one of the friends changes in character. If one party ceases to be pleasant and useful, the other party withdraws from the friendship. Aristotle argues that the old follow the usefulness of a friendship while the young follow the hopes of deriving pleasure from the friendship. Aristotle uses his claim of youths...

Anthem And Long Live By Ayn Rand: A Literary Analysis

...Life is nothing without friendship. Everybody has friends, and people they love, but above all are the friends you love. The ones you’d do anything for. They’re the people who make life worth living. The theme of friendship and love is shown strongly in “Anthem” by Ayn Rand and “Long Live” by Taylor Swift. The book “Anthem” is about a dystopian society. Anything that isn’t done collectively is frowned upon. To have friends or to love is outlawed. Then Equality 7-2521 makes a friend and falls in love (not with the same person), defying society. Friendship and love are important themes in Anthem. A quote that displays this is, “We stood still; for the first time did we know fear; and then pain. And we stood still that we might not spill this pain more precious than pleasure” (39). This was the...

Aristotle's Idea of Philia as Foundation for Human Relationships

...these emotions is love. To feel love and to reciprocate it is proper to rational beings such as the human person. But the term “love” has taken quite different meanings around the globe, a lot of persons even have their own notion of love. It is the one of the most elusive and abused term of mankind. It eludes definition for the reason that one really cannot exhaust love in one specific definition. As Benedict XVI said (2006, p. 7) “In our present context, the term “love” has become one of the most frequently used and misused of words, a word where we attach quite different meanings.” We human persons are capable of expressing and accepting love, since we are endowed with intellect and will aside from our passions. These faculties make it possible for a human to feel being loved and to love back in return. The faculty intellect is the one that perceives and comprehends love, where we can interpret it, while the faculty of the will is the one that is responsible for conveying and reciprocating love. Our acts as human beings such as loving are very much different from those of the animals’. This is because human acts require the use of both the intellect and the will. It requires knowing and willing a particular act, making it voluntary. Aristotle notes that “What is voluntary would seem to be that of which the moving principle is in the agent himself, he being aware of the circumstances of the action”(NE, trans. by Ross, 2001, pp. 967). But love is more than just...

Friendship

...Friendship Friendships are the gift to the man kind. The relations which we get in this world are blood related. But the only relationship which does not related to blood is friendship. Friendship has many forms and shapes. It is like water. If we pour the water into a jug it takes the shape of jug. if you pour the same water into a bowl it takes the shape of bowl. Same way friendships will take a different shapes and sizes according to our heart. Friendship gives pleasure to human beings. Where there is friendship then there will not be any sorrow. When you see a child laughing you will forget your sorrows for a second, same way when you are with a friend you forget your sorrows. Friendship, like the immortality of the soul, is too good to be believed. The lover, beholding his maiden, half knows that she is not verily that which he worships; and in the golden hour of friendship, we are surprised with shades of suspicion and unbelief. We doubt that we bestow on our hero the virtues in which he shines, and afterwards worship the form to which we have ascribed this divine inhabitation. In strictness, the soul does not respect men as it respects itself. In strict science all persons underlie the same condition of an infinite remoteness. Shall we fear to cool our love by mining for the metaphysical foundation of this Elysian temple? Shall I not be as real as the things I see? If I am, I shall not fear to know them for what they are. Their essence is not less beautiful than their...

Socrates 'Friendship In The Lysis'

...Friendship in the Lysis Llasua Aguero-Witte 11/2/2015 Plato is well known for his writing method that revolves around dialogue through a dialectic mode of speech and listening. With that being said, the form of Plato’s writings, the dialogue form, carries difficulties that have no other purpose than to reflect the circumstances of our own lives. Comprehension, and being comprehended, is not easy. However, the dialogue form is important in that it invites further dialogue, which allows for a more intrinsic dialogue with ourselves. I do not use the word monologue because the relationship and cooperation of our ideas, intuitions, conceptualizations, and consciousness does not assume what could be called a dogmatic form, but instead requires constant revision and evaluation, both in regards to our own basic beliefs and our persistent strivings to...
