It will usually contain a brief statement of the problem or proposal covered in the major document(s), background information, concise analysis and main conclusions. It is intended as an aid to decision making by business managers. Chapter 1

INTRODUCTION

On the job training (OJT) is job training that occurs in the work place. The new employee learns the job while doing the job and while earning his or her pay check. On the job training is also called hands on training. On the job training has many advantages, but it can also have a few disadvantages if the OJT is not properly planned and executed. The goal of the OJT program is to place participants in occupations that will enhance their prospects for long-term employment and will ultimately permit them to become self-sufficient. OJT involves the acquisition of specific skills and employment competencies, through exposure in an actual work setting, to the processes, work tasks, tools and methods of a specific job or group of jobs. It is the responsibility of supervisors and managers to utilize available resources to train, qualify, and develop their employees. On-the-job training (OJT) is one of the best training methods because it is planned, organized, and conducted at the employee's worksite. OJT will generally be the primary method used for broadening employee skills and increasing productivity. It is particularly appropriate for developing proficiency skills unique to an employee's job - especially jobs that are relatively easy to learn and require locally-owned equipment and facilities. One major drawback of on the job training can be finding the right time for it. The person responsible for giving and evaluating the training has to be sure that his or her other job responsibilities are being met. Another disadvantage of OJT is that it can be difficult to find the right person to conduct it. The person doing the training must have the knowledge and skills with the same equipment that the learner will be working with. Care must also be given not to pass on sloppy work habits or unintentionally teach irrelevant or inefficient work methods to the new worker/learner. If these disadvantages are eliminated, however, on the job training can be beneficial for both the company and the new employee. OJT can be cost-effective for the business since a separate training program isn't required and the training is part of the actual work shifts. No extra equipment is needed as the new worker learns on the equipment needed for the job anyway. On the job training often works out really well for the new employee since traditional training periods tend to have a training allowance that may be lower than the regular pay scale for the job The Laguna State Polytechnic University supports the on-the-job training programs of the College of Arts and Sciences to uplift the morale, productivity and professionalism of the aspiring employees under the Information Technology Program of this university.

...49.8 million children in America will spend 7 hours, 180 days a year for 13 years in a public school classroom (Fast Facts). Every parent, every morning is putting faith in the people who run these public schools that their child will receive a proper education that will prepare them for college and eventually their career. School comes at a critical time of a child’s life where their brain development is crucial to their intellectual and emotional capabilities. Without these skills, children are more likely to drop out, work at dead end jobs, be on public assistance or end up in prison. But, if we can help to fix our education system, we can help fix our economy, our neighbor hoods, and our country. Out of 28 developed countries, the United States ranks 20th. In Alabama, only 18% of eighth graders are proficient in reading, and in states across America only 20 to 35 % of students are reading at grade level according to Waiting for Superman, a documentary directed by David Guggenheim. The problem begins between the 5th and 7th grade. This is where students being to go from B students to C and D students. By the time they have reached the 7th grade, they feel as though they are stupid. But are the students less intelligent? Or is there a bigger problem, asks Geoffrey Canada, a leader of education reform and founder of the Harlem Children’s Zone, a charter school that guarantees its student’s will graduate despite being in the heart of the worst school district in New York....

Love

...Unit 2 Individual Project 10/14/2013 When I think of the word love it gives me chills because this is a powerful word. Today I am going to talk about the three people in this world that I know and have knowledge that they love me. They are my husband and my two sons. I have had a lot of people to ask me how you know for a fact that your husband loves you. That answer is very clear and simple to me, because its not just one thing he does to show me its many things. When I look at my husband I see a forever with him. We have been married almost nine years now and were just as in love today as we were nine years ago. We still tell each other how much we love each other on a daily basis. We write each other love poems to each other. We love to do everything together. We have our moments when we just look at each other and gaze into each other’s eyes and just smile. Even though we have been so long we still talk about our future together and how we can make it better. He loves to plan things in advance and he loves to reassure me that there is a future for us together. In recent years, love has drifted from these subtle levels to the more noticeable ones, namely passion. In my opinion, our society downplays the real necessity for genuine affection. By this I mean that we, as a society, spend so much time focusing on only one level of love (passion) that we tend to neglect and not recognize the need for closeness and trust (friendship). It can help mend the most broken heart....
