I will discuss more in depth the issues, problems and solutions to making this seemingly painful and undiscussed topic something that will help make it less painful and more important to do before the time comes. Death is something that is inevitable, it will eventually come to us all, some sooner than later and we should do all that we can to make it less stressful and painful to the loved ones we leave behind. Making these End of Life choices beforehand has always been considered a “taboo” of sorts because it’s just an issue that is never discussed. There is no said population that this matter should be discussed with because no one knows when they are going to die unless they are contemplating suicide and that’s an entirely different situation. ...No one could have guessed that a small town in northern Chili would have become such a hot topic in the news in August 2010. After a cave-in occurred in the San Jose mine, the story went national and everyone was reading about the tragedy across the globe. Thirty three people had been trapped underground and a fairy tale happy ending did not seem probable. Rescue workers started drilling holes in the area to reach the group when four days later another cave-in happened and the rescue seemed almost impossible. The group of 33 had no water, no food and very little oxygen and at the time there wasn’t any knowledge of survivors. The fate of this group seemed nothing but doom for 17 long days. Then finally the first contact was made. The rescue team finally made connection with the group and found out amazing news that everyone was alive and well, with no injuries. A small path was created down to the area where they were trapped and food and water was provided for the duration of their entrapment. ...Losing Loved Ones Kyla Jones SW Death and Dying Oakland University Abstract Death is something I personally think about a lot. I have not experienced much loss, but the losses I have experienced have affected me enough to the point of thinking about why people die at random times of the day. I have had a total of five deaths of family and friends in my 20 years of life. They have all been within a few years of each other but the first death there was a larger gap in between until the next death. The first death I experience was my Grandma’s best friend Kim, then my Grandma’s Sister Carol, then my great great grandpa, then my father and last but not lease my friend who was like a younger brother to me. Some of these had a major impact on how I view death and how I am when death is a topic of concern for most people. At the age of 20 I can say I am not afraid of death because I have accepted that it will happen to anyone, and if it is your time to go then God believes it is your time to go. ...A Loved One Lost It was a quiet summer night and I was just sitting in my room watching TV. My fan was blowing refreshing cool air on me and it helped relieve me from the heat of the summer. It was also a little annoying as it makes a whirring noise, but despite the sounds it was still very calm and relaxing. My mom was in our computer room playing on the computer just as usual. My dad was asleep in his bed at an early time as he usual. My brother was downstairs in his room and everything seemed just fine. ...When i first saw the cover of the anime one piece i thought to myself that well, the art isn't that fantastic and the storyline dosent seem all that interesting since i wasnt much into the pirate theme.
