4.The conflict in the story is that Luke’s mom Faith reveals a secret to Luke from over 30 years ago. She confesses to Luke that her real name is Mary Margaret Cunningham and she committed the bombing of Berkeley College during the Vietnam War protests.She then tells Luke that she will turn herself in during one of his baseball tournaments.

5.The problem is solved when Luke’s mom turns herself in and goes on trial for the bombing which took a student at Berkeley's life. She is sentenced to 6 years in a California jail. She tells Luke that she will be fine. Luke and Faith’s boyfriend Sid return home so Luke can start High School. …show more content…
