RECONSTRUCTION

PRE-CRASH:

On 05-31-2015, at approximately 0910 hours, Vehicle 1 was stopped westbound on Lutz Lake Fern Road, within the intersection of Sunlake Boulevard waiting for eastbound traffic to clear in order to make a left turn. Vehicle 1 then proceeded to make a left turn onto southbound Sunlake Boulevard, crossing the eastbound lanes of Lutz Lake Fern Road. The driver of Vehicle 1 failed to see and entered the path of travel of the approaching vehicles. Vehicle 2 was driving in the front of a group of motorcycles, nearest the centerline and riding in a staggered formation. As Vehicle 3 approached Vehicle 1 in an endo position with its front wheel skidding, leaving a tire mark approximately four feet in length. The rear of Vehicle 3 came back to the ground, leaving a short tire scuff, approximately two feet in length. The front tire skid of Vehicle 3 the change directions to the left, possibly caused by the rear tire touching the ground and continued for another six feet. This action, in conjunction with the front tire still skidding, caused the rear of Vehicle 3 to bounce upward. Driver 3 was ejected, from the motorcycle during this sequence and near the same time Vehicle 3 impacted Vehicle 1. Upon being ejected from the motorcycle, Driver 3 struck the right rear window and roofline of Vehicle 1, leaving a scuff from his clothing on the window and roofline as well as a small dent on the roofline. In doing so, Vehicle 3, with its right side towards Vehicle 1, struck the right rear wheel well trim with the rear of its muffler. This was evidenced by the outline and indentation of the rear of the muffler on the wheel well trim. Conversely, the muffler was also indented with the shape of the wheel well trim.
