Kids Can Make a Difference
Teen activists are peaceful, cooperative, and hardworking. One thing they all have in common is that they all want to help the world, just in different ways. The three teens that helped the world be a better place are Malala Yousafzai who wanted girls to have education rights, Alex Lin who refurbished and recycled E-waste, and Iqbal Masih who helped stop. These young people fought for what they think is right. Not only they think what they are doing is right they know it is right. First, teen activist Malala Yousafzai believes in peace. In the Youtube “Malala Speaks Out” she says, “ If a Taliban comes into my house would you hit him with your shoe”, and Malala said, “ No, I would let the Taliban do his business to me and then he will leave.” This quote explains that Malala would not hurt a terrorist and she is protesting …show more content…
The word that best describes Iqbal is hardworking. This word best describes Iqbal is because he was a slave for four years. The job he did when he was a slave was being a rug maker. He was sent off from his parents to work to pay off a loan. He had to work as hard as he could. In the PDF Iqbal Masih, he said, “ If I made a mistake I would be either whipped, hung upside down, or fined.” This quote means Iqbal had to work hard to pay off the loan. It takes about 14 months to complete a rug! So he had to work hard for a long time. He was about six years old when he started making rugs for the loan. In all, he maybe only made three to four rugs his whole time he was enslaved. When he became free he had an urge to help save kids from slavery and labor and he did, 3,000 kids! When he became free he found out that child labor is illegal. He went to the USA, Britain, and flew across Pakistan to make meetings about labor for young kids.
