Ideas big and small can one day just explode into the world. An individual can come up with a brand new item being clothing, shoes, even technology, etc. and it can spread across the world making it a big hit. Things old can make a big come-back and can be better than ever before.
In Malcolm Gladwell's book The Tipping Point, he discusses different situations to marketers of events that could occur through pathos and logos.
Throughout the book Gladwell writes as if he is having a conversation with the reader to connect with them on an emotional level and get them to think about what he is saying. In this book one of the most emotional things he talks about is death or tragedy. In the chapter ¨Suicide, Smoking, and the Unsticky Cigarette¨ Gladwell

In Malcolm Gladwell’s book “The Tipping Point”, he explains how social epidemics tip with the actions of just a select few people. “When it comes to epidemics, though, this disproportionality becomes even more extreme; a tiny percentage of people do the majority of the work.” The people who are responsible for social epidemics are known as Connectors, Mavens, or Salesmen. ...Outliers: The Story of Success Published in 2008, Outliers: The Story of Success is Malcolm Gladwell’s third consecutive best-selling nonfiction book, following Tipping Point (2000) and Blink (2005). While Tipping Point focuses on the individual’s ability to effect change in society, Outliers deals with the cultural and societal forces that give an individual a chance. ...394: Paper #1 01/11/2015 The Tipping Point Hush Puppies, mavens, Sesame Street, and New York City crime rates; all things that seem to have nothing in common until you look at them in the right context. The one common denominator they all share is they had a tipping point, and are examples of how little things can make a big difference in society. Malcolm Gladwell recognizes this threshold in everyday life, and in the products we use. He sees that a sudden increase in the sales of a shoe can be triggered by only a selective few that decide to wear them while they were unpopular, or how cleaning up the subway system can generate a significant decrease in crime. A single person could make significant changes in society although they represent a very insignificant number in the total population. If that one person is responsible for a tipping point a chain reaction can be made out of a single decision. Tipping points are exactly what the phrase describes; a point where the threshold has been met, so it theoretically “tips.” This does not come due to chance however. Gladwell argues that there are certain aspects of a product, norm, or person that are required to exceed a threshold and cause a reaction, he states, “The three rules of the tipping point—the Law of the Few, the Stickiness Factor, and the Power of Context—offer a way of making sense of an epidemic.
