In Man Rays work “ Tears” he displays a photograph of a mannequin disguised as a female who has tears placed in unnatural spots. The image has a realistic and an unrealistic look to it, the face of the female that has been cropped to just her eyes and nose shows emotions of realism; sadness, despair. Whilst the tears are formed in a geometrical shape due to being made out of glass beads therefore taking that realism away. The mannequins eye lashes are coated in black mascara creating a dramatic look and its eyes are looking upwards at something unknown to the viewers but we can tell its something that makes her feel sadness . Although the image is in black and white, we can see the contrast between her black eyelashes and her white eyes.
The image is of a female who is looking up towards something with a sad expression painted upon her face. Man ray displays her emotions through her glass tears that are perfectly placed on her cheeks, It shows that although she is sad , she is cold hearted and still-life like. The image was captured in a moment of Man Rays life where he was going through a hard break-up with his ex lover Lee Miller in 1932. The image suggest that perhaps Man Ray is trying to show that the female is his ex and that she may regret her breakup, or how she had abandoned and left him alone, and is now feeling the contradiction of guilt.
Man Ray has use various materials and techniques to create his work ‘ Tears’. The model of the female is actually a mannequin , its used to portray still-life. On the mannequins face , the eyelashes are stroked with black mascara therefore creating curved lines that lengthen with the mascara, this exaggerates the mannequins eyes. The tears used on its cheeks are made out of glass beads that glisten and shine through the light. The image was captured in black and white ( Gelatin Silver Print) , it intensifies all the shadows and gives the tears a more unrealistic look to the shape.

Tears by Man Ray

...Art criticism on Tears by Man Ray The art work look as if it was a photograph of a woman face and cropping only for only her eyes. The picture is in black and white (reminds me of the film in black and white in the pass) and it looks realistic in term of facial proportion and shape as if it was a photograph yet it becomes unrealistic when I look at her teardrops because it does not look like water. More like marble (looks geometrical in shape) to me, which makes it the emphasis of the art piece. The artist also use contrast of color even though it is black and white piece, her eyes and the tear drops which are white stands out of the grey negative shape of her skin. Her black long eyelashes and the white part of the eye also gives a great contrast as it the complementary to each other, maybe this also an emphasis to the eyes. The artist focuses very on the eyes and tears so the size is abnormally large and the position of her face is place in the middle. There is a balance in the piece but it is asymmetrical, her eyes lie diagonally 45 degree across the canvas and the empty space on the forehead is balanced by the direction of the woman that gaze up so it balance up the work. From this art work. I think the want to give us the idea of the saying “eyes are the window of the soul” by emphasizing on a pair beautiful eyes. Her abnormally long eyelashes give the idea of being artificial because they looks fake and the tear drop that is impossibly have a circular shape teardrops...

The Tell-Tale Heart Analysis

...his sensitivities that allow him to hear "all things in the heaven and the earth," also in hell. The sensitivities are part of the reason he became obsessed with the old man's eyes which in return murders the old man for his Vulture eye. The narrator starts his story off with the fact that he "loved the old man," adding "He never wronged me." This is when he leads into his obsession and the vulture eye. He goes into great detail about the eye "A pale blue eye, with a film over it." Only A madman would obsess that much over an eye to have no motivation to kill the old man but the obsession of the vulture eye. In this paragraph the narrator contradicts himself with his mental ability to love and hate at the same time. He then wants to prove to us his sanity by how "wisely" he would proceed with caution foresight and dissimulation he executes his deeds. He then goes into how every night at midnight he latches open the old man door and "oh, so gently" doing so he would poke his head and slowly through the door. It would sometimes take him an hour to do this process. He states "what a madman have been so wise at this?" For seven long nights the narrator does this deed of opening the door cautiously to finally get to wear his head and lantern would have a "single ray" fall...

Spiritual Warfare

...Spiritual Warfare Strongholds & Strategies Bob Burns “Everything is permissible for me-but I will not be mastered by anything” 1 Corinthians 6:12 1 The Bible tells us that we struggle not against flesh and blood, but against demonic forces. Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Often the enemy uses life controlling problems as a means of attack. “Life-controlling problems are anything that master our lives and block our spiritual growth.” Other description include: life-controlling struggles, addictions, dependency, stronghold, besetting sin, slavery, and compulsive behavior. 1 Almost everyone has something blocking his or her spiritual growth in Christ. Some strongholds may be something that people consider positive such as sports or ministry. Others that are considered negative include drugs, gambling, sexual addiction and more. Perhaps a person is consumed by another persons problem, trapped by grief, depression, anger, envy, lust and etc. 2 In this paper we will discover the three tools Satan uses to keep people trapped which are delusion, secrecy, and isolation. Secondly we will learn about three resources God provides to confront the enemies attack. These include the Word of God, the Spirit of God, and the People of God. Delusion or deception means to make another person believe...

Lyterary Analises

...old. I was a teenager in the down of my adult life and when I listen to this song on the radio I always wondered what that emotion so private that they sang was. Private Emotion: The song is from the Hooters and the lyrics are as follows: Every endless night has a dawning day Every darkest sky has a shining ray And it shines on you, baby, can't you see You're the only one who can shine for me It's a private emotion That fills you tonight And a silence falls between us As the shadows steal the light and wherever you may find it Wherever it may lead Let your private emotion come to me Come to me, come to me, come to me When your soul is tired and your heart is weak Do you think of love as a one way street? Well, it runs both ways, open up your eyes Can't you see me here, how can you deny It's a private emotion That fills you tonight And a silence falls between us As the shadows steal the light And wherever you may find it Wherever it may lead Let your private emotion come to me Come to me, come to me Every endless night has a dawning day Every darkest sky has a shining ray It takes a lot to laugh as your tears go by But you can find me here till your tears run dry Well, it's a private emotion That fills you tonight And a silence falls between us As the...

...a complete picture so that he or she can diagnose their patients accurately. Nuclear medicine is the application of radionuclide technique to diagnose and treat different types of human disease. It was first used in the investigation of thyroid disease in 1946 by utilizing radioactive iodine to cure the thyroid cancer. And, from there nuclear medicine has grown tremendously! Most doctors that were educated prior to nuclear medicine's debut do not understand how valuable radioisotropic procedures really are in diagnosing their patients. Radiologists must read the results of the nuclear medicine applications, so they must stay on top of all new testing that's becoming available. I do have some experience in reading X-rays, it's easy to see fractures, or perhaps a quarter stuck in the esophagus of a four year old, but an MRI or PET scan image is far more detailed, and requires great experience in interpreting them. Nuclear medicine procedures use radioactive materials called radio...

I want this to manifest, I want this to happen in my life in every good ways or means I can. As I’ve said on my recent posts, I love to go somewhere, I love to experience different culture, and I want to meet new and different people. The Lovely Bones Analytical Essay

...keep reading. An example of not being able to put the book down would have to be when Lindsey Salmon had broken into George Harvey’s house, the suspected murderer. Another example would be when Ruth Connors, the girl who has become obsessed with Susie, was hit by a car and had wished for her and Susie to trade soles. Ruth had wished for this so that Susie could be with her true love again, Ray Singh. With this, Susie and Ray were able to do everything they had wanted and then Ruth’s sole came back. I imagine situations like this would cause readers to want and continue to read through those less intense parts because you never knew what was going to happen next. One moment someone was being killed and the next a wedding was happening. The story line was not that of an expected murder story, the murderer was never placed into prison....

Punks with Cockscomb and Full Metal Jackets

...Punks with cockscomb and full metal jackets My personal opinion on this case is that punks should be allowed to be punks. Each generation have its own style and way to live. You can’t deny the youth to be themselves; this would result in a new generation of country-loving nutcase’s adults. Which I think we already had one generation to many of right? If you want your guardians to allow you to express in whatever way you want. Ask them, challenge them, torture them until you get an answer how their parents reacted when they found out their children listened to Pink Floyd, Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors, Led zeppelin and so on. Their parents would scream shout tear their hair out cry over how their small angel children could be seduced by this devil music. And still your parents as the tiny evil creatures they are sneak away listen to the music they thought fit to them best. There loving helpful careful parents thought they kids had become mentally deranged. When they wore “cool” outfits and listened to “cool” music. And now maybe you will be allowed to listen to the music you want to listen to ;) Just ask they are not that evil sly monsters you think they are (or at least most of them have a tiny bit of goodness far down into the abyss of their heart).
