CIS 120 Assignment
1. Create a new e-mail message Start a new message
On the File menu, point to New, and then click Mail Message. Keyboard shortcut: To create a new e-mail message, press CTRL+SHIFT+M. In the Subject box, type the subject of the message.
2. Add recipients Enter the recipients' names in the To, Cc, or Bcc box. Separate the names with a semicolon (;).
The Bcc: field helps you deal with the problems created by Cc:. As it is the case with Cc:, a copy of the message goes to every single email address appearing in the Bcc: field. The difference is that neither the Bcc: field itself nor the email addresses in it appear in any of the copies and not in the message sent to the person in the To: field either. The only recipient address that will be visible to all recipients is the one in the To: field. So, to keep maximum anonymity you can put your own address in the To: field and use Bcc: exclusively to address your message.
3. Change the font On the Message tab, in the Basic Text group, you can select the font, font size, font style (bold, italic, and underline), font color, and text highlighting.
On the Format tab, in the Font group, you can select the font and font size; increase or decrease the size by one increment; change the font style (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough); change the case, the font color, and the text highlighting; and remove all font formatting.
On the Mini toolbar that appears when you select text, you can select the font, increase or decrease the size by one increment, select a theme, use the Format Painter, select the font style (bold, italic, and underline), and highlight text.
4. How to send an email
Click New in the upper left corner to write an email. On the new page, click in the blank box beside To: and type the email address of the person you're writing to. Add addresses in the Cc: field if you want to send a copy of your email to anyone else. Others receiving this email will be able to see anyone listed in the Cc: line. Inside Subject: give your email a title, then write whatever you want to in the message window. That's the big box below. Sending is the easy part. Once you're done writing and attaching photos or files if you want just click Send.

Data Base Esign

...An entity is something about which we want to keep data. There are physical entities; something physical in our universe (e.g., a person, place, thing, etc.). There is also a logical entity; something non-physical (e.g., a relationship).Three examples of an entity could be a gun, Airline, and a camera. 2. What is a relationship? * A relationship is a logical connection between records from two or more tables. All relationships can be categorized as one-to-one, one-to-many, or many-to-many. An example of a one-to-many relationship would be a pet store owner and the pets. The Pet Store owner (parent) represents the one, and the pets (children), represent the many. That is given the assumption that the store is owned by a single entity. The Pet Store can have many pets, but the pets can’t belong to many stores. * An example of a many-to-many is brand names-to-cookies. There are many brand names and there are many types of cookies. A brand can make many types of cookies and a cookie type can be made by many different brands. 3. What is an attribute? * An attribute is a property or characteristic of an entity. Three entities and their attributes are (A) gun (make, model), (B) airline (name, model), and (C) A camera (make, type). Part Two 3. What column or columns should be selected as the primary key to best meet the desired properties for a primary key in exhibit 2-17? * I chose the column labeled student id as having the best properties for being a primary...

5 Forces Analysis

...5 Forces Analysis on the Paper Industry Looking at the position of the paper industry relative to the five forces model I had to determine exactly what constituted the paper industry. I had to decide between the Paper Mills Industry and Pulp Mills Industry and ultimately decided to analyze the Paper Mills Industry specifically when it came to paper industry as a whole. The NAICS Code that corresponds to the Paper Mills Industry is NAICS: 322121 or SIC Code 2621. Porter’s Five Forces Model of Competition includes the firm’s, or in this case the paper mill industry’s, position relative to current competitors, suppliers, customers, potential new entrants and potential substitutes. Over the next few pages I will conduct a five forces analysis of the Paper Mills Industry. Current Competitors: The degree of rivalry in the paper industry is the center of the five forces and the other four forces branch off of this. The first aspect to look at is the number and position of companies within the paper industry. There were 445 companies in 2009 and as of 2013 there are now 119 companies in the industry. This industry still has many competitors within the industry and therefor, there shouldn’t be any impact of any particular company. This industry is large enough where these firms can prosper without having to steal market share from each other and this is a positive for the paper industry. The second key factor is the industry growth rate and if there is room to increase revenues...

Survival Guide

...Survival Guide Let’s Get Started On the first day of classes with Axia College, it is important to login and download the course materials and syllabus. I have found that by making folders under My Documents labeled first with the course name, and then inside have folders labeled each week 1-9 where I save the relevant materials for the weeks work. After downloading the files to the appropriate files, it is best to break up the syllabus. I like to copy and paste each week of the syllabus to a word document filed again under the corresponding week. This makes it easy to access what is needed for the week. It is also important to download the course calendar to keep a closer watch on when assignments are due. By looking at the course calendar at the beginning of each week you will be able to manage your assignments accordingly. After reading through the course syllabus and downloading course materials the next step is to check the main forum. The main forum is where your instructor posts information about what changes may be made for the week and also posts the weekly discussion questions for you to answer. In the main forum only the instructor will post topics. This is the area in which we as students post replies to the teacher and also our classmates. These posts are the only ones that apply to your weekly participation grade. It is very important...

Books Will Always Exist

...if the story is enough engaging. The most of times in our homes we find physical books, rather than digital stories. I think there is a reason for this. What is better than the smell of paper, especially when you buy a new book? It is something inimitable, that never will be replaced. Concerning to this, we cannot not talk about the smell of old books. It reminds you something ancient, of another epoch or of a parallel world. Something beset by an aura of fantastic. On the one hand, I think many people prefer to buy new books, rather than borrow them in library, due to the characteristic smell of brand new printed paper. However, the smell of ancient books cannot be recreated and that’s why, on the other hand, library are so full of requests. There are those who neither care to have their own literary works, nor library books. Actually, they don’t want physical volumes and prefer to have all they would want to read always with them. In other words, they like digital readings. For instance, a tablet make this real. This means you can choose among a great number of possibilities the book you want to read in that particular moment. The advantage consists in the fact that you have not to bring ten different volumes with you, but just one light tablet. Your back will thank you! Likewise, many people prefer digital books for saving on the price and for convenience of downloading whenever and wherever they want their favorite readings.
