Most of the candidates who are currently running to be president gave long speeches during their announcements. Luckily, there was one who gave a 20-minute long speech: Marco Rubio. Marco Rubio is a Republican senator from the state of Florida; he is also the son of Cuban immigrants. The speech was obviously focused on him announcing his candidacy for the presidency, but it entailed a rather unique theme. Rubio talked a great deal about how he was candidate for the future. He spoke about how leaders were trying to fix 21st century problems with 20th century methods. He described Hillary Clinton (the Democratic front-runner) as a “leader from yesterday”.
