1.When reading the article this week I found Marija Gimbuta’s work on the Goddess the most interesting due to the fact it presented compelling information on a subject I personally am not too familiar with. Her book, The Gods and Goddesses of Old Europe, presents readers with the notion that in Neolithic times the “Great Goddess Creatress” was worshiped for thousands of years as both a Creator and a Goddess of life, death, and regeneration. Artwork from the period being studied in the article actually correlated with these two aspects of the Ancient Goddess’ personality.

2. I would define “gynergy” as a universal female-oriented energy, or in this case a female-oriented creative energy, that helps to unite women who feel oppressed by the patriarchy.
