Hey you…Yea, you! Does this sound familiar to you? Girl come on let’s get out. Let’s go to the Mall and splurge a little bit. You: no thanks chic I think I’m gonna back out this time; girl I have bills to pay. Your bestie: OMG, you make me sick you are always talking about your bills and shit girl…you never do anything for yourself. You work hard you should be able to splurge a little; besides, you got it. Have you ever gone through the dreaded girlfriend conversation about how you treat yourself. If this is you, then read on.
I know it seems as though you never do anything for yourself, and that is my exact reason for writing this article. See, I use to be just like you. I’d get a call from my friends asking that I come out with them and of course I’d give some lame excuse as to why I couldn't go; and child guess what; eventually they stopped calling my ass period, because they knew that I wasn’t going to do anything anyway so way waste their time right? Ladies let me just tell you…now before I explain myself don’t think for one moment that I’m saying go out there and tear the mall down because I’m not. I’m just simply saying that you deserve to spend a little of your hard earned cash on yourself. I mean look..the kids are straight, the bills are in a comfortable place and the pantry is full so why not.
At this point you are rolling your eyes saying…this “b” have lost her mind. but truth is, I really haven’t; because the way I see it is either you are going to work yourself to death and be miserably unhappy or you are going to work, take care business and take care of you as well. Have you ever gone over your friend’s house and she began pulling out all of these nice things that she’d purchased for herself or have you ever looked at the bitch’s feet and said to yourself…this bitch aint got a corn, callus, or rough patch on her feet and those toes are always on point with the most flawless polish. I know you have because I’ve done this myself. That’s some foreign shit to you huh? I know it is and that’s because she actually takes time out to do things for herself.
The both of you have kids, jobs and bills so there is nothing wrong with enjoying what you work so hard for day in and day out. I know you though that I was going to give you some long ass speech about why you shouldn’t splurge a little if your money is right but I’m not because you deserve to be happy. Hold up now, stop nodding your head, get your head out the boutique. I know I’m right, but going to leave you with this to think about. If you’re going to splurge on something, make sure that it is of value, sentiment, or benefit. No use in waisting money on the unnecessary…now in my “Meryl Streep” voice…That’s All.

...Hannah Trom 05-01-2016 Extra Credit I think that being able to use our phones and computers in class has been really helpful. With having a class that’s half online and half not online it was useful to have the things that were online right at our fingertips during class. If there was an assignment that we were doing that was online and we had a question about it then we could easily pull it up on our laptop to ask the professor a question. If we had a question that needed to be answered right away it then having these resources is crucial because then the professor can get back to us as soon as he can and we don’t have to wait for him to check his email cause it could take a couple days to get a response. It made learning easier, some of the people in classes can’t see the board that is right in front of them and this gives them a way to easily pull up the PowerPoint and be able to look at it directly in front of their faces. I don’t think having your laptop and phone in class is a distraction, it’s only a distraction if you allow it to. It’s made learning more enjoyable! Being able to look up the answers to a work sheet that we’re doing is class is so much easier and less stressful than having to guess. It’s easier to be able to have your computer in front of you so that you can look it up and make sure that you have the right answer instead of looking stupid and writing down the wrong answer. Another good thing is being able to listen to your own music during work time...

...recent times, marketing has been looking to the internet as an as of yet improperly utilized tool. More and more businesses are becoming interested in the use of social media not only to market, but also to gain a better connection with their consumers. What is the reason for this? What advantages do social media hold that businesses are beginning to find value in? Perhaps it is the ease of access, or the relatively low cost compared to traditional marketing avenues. What kind of value can be found in social media? It is exceedingly popular among teenagers and young adults, and has a good userbase of adults as well. This by itself is a strength; a huge number of people use social media every day. Additionally, social media sites are very easy to join and use. Most offer free membership, only requiring the user to have an internet connection. This gives it an advantage over television marketing campaigns, as there’s not a requirement that the people intended to see an advertisement to own equipment, or pay for a monthly subscription to a service. Additionally, consumers can use public computers to get the same effect, whether it’s in a public library, or a school computer lab. Most importantly, however, is the social bleed-through that can be observed. Social media is not something done alone at home. It’s done everywhere; in grocery stores, barber shops, on-the-go. This also lends to the mobility of social media, which in turn allows for social media marketing to become more...

Ethics in Social Media Marketing

...Ethics in Social Network Marketing Nowadays everyone is connected to the web, whether its through social media, email, and or blog. All of us on a daily basis see or come across an advertisement whether we like it or not. Now the question arises what is ethical in media world of marketing? Whats wrong? Whats right? “It pays to have integrity.” This quote by David is the key and the answer to these questions. First thing you want to acknowledge is how you want to be seen as a person or the company you represent. People want that fast dollar and don’t want to put in the work to really build a relationship with its community, like David Skul says “when you embark on a social network marketing campaign…you are joining a community.” I can’t tell you how much I dislike spam and non targeted marketing. Believe or not there is a lot of money in that type of marketing, its unbelievable. Popular and high traffic websites like Facebook and the rookie Instagram are being used primarily to push out millions of spam and advertisements. It’s so OUT OF CONTROL. Everything is out of order in the media world when it comes to marketing. Its a free for all and people are taking advantage of it. Wheres the integrity? When you join a community “you need to participate as a member…” In order to be a successful marketer you need to take the time to communicate with your audience and build a relationship. Also knowing pop culture, whats trending? whats not? what do people like? what interests them...
