Anne’s got her gun cocked towards Kira, but Matsuda is the first to react. Aizawa yanks his gun away after the first shot, so Anne has to cover. She hits his shoulder once he tries to write Near’s real name on the scrap of his paper. The guards--Anne would know them anywhere--come bursting in and firing at her. She got shot in her shoulder, the fiery burst of pain is the first signal to telling her that she’s been shot. Anne bit her lip and hits the final guard, but it’s too late. Near’s wounded and Gevanni’s tending to him. He won’t last long, Anne knows this, so she attends to the pen in Mikami’s throat. Remove the object, she thought. Unless it’s a knife. She shakes her head and applies pressure to Mikami’s neck (it wasn’t an artery, thank God). …show more content…
“Redmayne,” Gevanni said next to her. “Lester is taking you both to a hospital.” She’s going pale, Gevanni thought.
