Team Member 1 (name): Matthew Arakaki Reason 1: One of Matt’s greatest strengths was his attitude, he was consistently positive and willing to complete whatever needed to be done, even if it wasn’t the most interesting task. Whether it was copying preliminary work to create a final draft, or simply recording journal entries, Matt’s positivity helped the group maintain a good attitude overall. Reason 2: Matt demonstrated how he is detail-oriented throughout the time we worked on the project. Whenever I saw or reviewed his work, it was very high caliber. In addition, my attention to detail was helpful. When finishing up CAS Part 1, my group’s ATB wasn’t balancing, and I noticed that in the CDJ there were four entries that hadn’t been posted to the G/L Acct that were equal to the amount that we were off. By finding this mistake efficiently, I was able to save my group a lot of time. What you could have done better: One area that I am working on, and would like to improve on is leadership. I found that I often would wait for other people in the group to determine when we would meet, and what we would work on, instead of taking initiative myself, and helping lead more of what the group did. Another thing I think I could have done better, is preparing for what we would be working on in advance, reading the sections specific to the transactions we would be working on that day to refresh my knowledge. Other comments: I really appreciated receiving the study guides before the midterm and final exam. It would have been helpful to receive them further in advance, to assist in studying ahead of
