After she raised enough money, she enrolled herself in the California School of Fine Arts. After studying for apporximate two year, she continued her education in New York. During her tenure in New York, she learned and produced lithographs technique. Having completed her education in art, she traveled to Mexico and it was there where she learned to paint frescos.
