McKee’s writings focus on writing about new scientific discoveries. Her writing focuses on how one should avoid writing about the newest scientific discoveries. These discoveries are barely understood by those within the communities, let alone by those who aren’t. Trying to communicate these finding to readers would be very difficult as they likely won’t have an understanding of the subject. Communicating science to the general public, Mckee says, involves then slowly teaching them over time. As time progresses, people are more open to change and the willingness to learn more grows.
