A Business Proposal to Improve Effiency, and Customer Satisfaction, and Hire Additional Staff

Executive Summary

Background
Leggett Pavilion is a southern organization employing 115 people with projected annual earnings of $19-35 thousand. The organization is an organization that provides services for needy families. With state-of-the art design capabilities, Leggett Pavilion has a need for more employees to compensate the high demand of callers.. The organization is partly owned by Susan Legget, a well known woman in the south. Its products include gynecologic procedures provided by doctors from Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi.

Currently, most of the families seen are patients that cannot afford health care and grant money has come available to help with any needs of the organization. The most current need is more employees to help serve the needy patients in the area. The clinic is becoming more popular with young mothers and this puts us in high demand.

Objective
Leggett Pavilion is in need of expert consultation services that part time nurses can provide and even part time nursing assistants. Due to the increase in our budget this should not be a problem.

Goals
Leggett Pavilion would like to provide better call services for patients. These consultation services can be encapsulated in four primary goals: • If a patient is in need of immediate care we can contact an emergency department • Provide care over the telephone for patients with common questions about things that can be treated with over the counter

Culture Awareness

...Are We Culturally Aware or Not? Answer 1. The practice manager needs to make the administration staffs understand that the training on cultural competence is for their own good. It will enable them to deal with patients of diverse cultural background so that they can mold their approach as per the cultural need of the patient. The cultural competence training allows the administration staff to learn the diverse behaviors, attitudes and perceptions of patients and their attendants so that they can solve their medical issues more expertly without any communication gap or misunderstanding. A local hospital expert on cultural competency can help to great lengths in this regard. Answer 2. Hiring a new administrative assistant from the same locality can work to the advantage of the practice. This is because cultural competence will be in harmony amongst the people of the front desk and the new administrative assistant since they belong from the same locality. On the other hand if a person is hired from another state his settling in with the front desk staff will take a lot of time and his being more qualified for the job will not matter so much in this regard. Hiring one from the same locality will not also be in synch with the cultural values of the front desk staff but will be economically feasible. Answer 3. Relocation of the practice in a newer place is one of the most crucial steps of reorganizing the practice; the very success or failure of the practice depends upon...

The Key to Success

...The Key to Success The most disturbing time in my past was when I believed that I was entitled to the American dream — the president, my employer, and the government is responsible for filling my life with continuous happiness, an exciting career, loads of family time, and positive personal relationships simply because I exist. Throughout the years of growth, I discovered the truth and the most important lesson I have revealed in my lifetime. I learned that there is only one person responsible for the quality of the life I live. That person is me. If I want to be successful, I have to take 100% responsibility for all the failures and successes that I experience in my life. This includes the level of my achievements, the results I produce, the quality of my relationships, my health and physical wellness, my finances, my debts, my feelings — everything! However, we all know that this is not easy. In fact, most of us have been conditioned to blame something outside of ourselves for the parts of our life we don't understand. We blame our parents, our spouse, our friends, the media, our bosses, the weather, the economy, our astrological sign, our lack of money; anyone or anything we can pin the blame on. We never want to look at where the real problem is — ourselves. During my transition, I was reading and listening to books from motivational speakers such as Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar and Les Brown. I also took up Vinyasa Yoga simply because it was something outside of my comfort...

...GROUP 1 CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Accountancy is one of the most in demand courses in the country, but also the most difficult for the students who are enrolled to this program. Many students end up shifting to other courses because they cannot withstand the demands of accountancy. Although it requires only basic mathematical operations, what makes it difficult is the use of analytical and logical thinking. The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program is composed of subjects in accounting, audit, administration, business laws and taxation. Its primary focus is not limited to business subjects only, but to other fields as well, such as banking and finance, government, social services, education, and more. The BSA program is taught in a variety of teaching methods examples are case analysis, individual and group reports, simulations, classroom discussions and guest lecturers. It also includes extensive exposures to business immersions and an on-the-job training that will provide you with the understanding of practical accountancy. This program is highly recommended especially for those people who are in business. Whether they work for a company or try to put up a business, accounting is still there. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND The roots of the University of the East can be traced back to two rented rooms on Dasmarinas Street, Manila, where 110 students enrolled in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) review classes in September 1946; barely two months after the Philippines...

However, implementing the idea is going to be difficult. The article has a lot of negative and positive information about the companies. It seems as though the only bonuses that were pinched were the bankers and traders. Nevertheless, CEO’s bonuses will not be pinched, as they are very influential, in terms of the board and management as a whole. According to the article, I would personally say that CEO, James Dimon is stealing from the company. The management seems to be avoiding the fact by actually concentrating on how their revenues and stock price changed. This is the ethic agency problem that most companies face. CEOs steal from the companies they work for and get away with it. The management does not maintain uprightness, as they actually protect the CEOs. I hope the idea pulls through as it will make scandals committed by CEOs a thing of the past. I think the CEOs should not be given a lot of power whereby they consult the shareholders on how bonuses are to be given amongst board members. It is rather hard for shareholders to know what happens in the company. Although the managers are supposed to be protecting the interests of the shareholders, they seem to let the CEO do all the major decision-making. It is only human nature; people tend to abuse power. Solutions

...selected to improve morale at Wheeling Hospital. Arguments will be evaluated and revised resulting in a refined and final solution to the problem. Original Issue Wheeling Hospital is adding a fifth tower and the time for departments to move into the new, advanced tower is approaching quickly. Chief executive officer Ron Violi thinks the transition is an exciting time for him and his staff members. It was a major shock to Violi when he learned more than three quarters of his staff was unhappy and not excited for the move into the new tower. Through close observation of my fellow coworkers, I discovered the discontent and feelings of frustration. These feelings originated because of the lack of communication from administration relating to tower five. Staff members are unaware their expectations, their workload, or how they are supposed to function without knowledge of where equipment, departments, and items necessary to perform their duties are located. Staff members have concerns about shortages and are not notified of any changes or updates relating to the new tower. The morale at the hospital is low and staff members need motivation to have success in tower five. Initial Solutions With the importance of the success of tower five to the community, coworkers, and my career on my mind, I dove into my imagination and brainstormed for solutions. Initial solutions included: ▪...

Project Managment

...How does multitasking confuse the resource availability of project team personnel? Multitasking confuses resource availability for project team personnel because the resource availability must be divvied up over many different tasks involving functional duties, as well as project duties. It is usually not possible to say that Team Member A is allotted for x amount of time on this project from Point A to Point B. The x amount of time may go from Point A on a specific project over to Point D on a functional task and then back over to Point A on the specific project. The Team Member may be able to complete the tasks up to Point B, but then is pulled away to work on a task on another project at the beginning of that one. In this way, multitasking does not allow for a continuous and unbroken specified time period to work exclusively on one project or its attendant tasks and this needs to be taken into consideration when scheduling a project’s baseline calendar. “In modern organizations, it is impossible to eliminate multitasking for the average employee.” Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Why? As of the date that I write this, I agree with the above-statement mainly because businesses have found that it is profitable to have employees multitask (Isidore, 2010, para. 13). Employees are afraid of losing their jobs so they tolerate being overworked, which is another term for multitasking. Additionally, as an Executive Administrative Assistant, one of my...
