In what ways and how far has my understanding of media developed during year 12, and what areas do you need to develop this year in order to achieve the grade you need in Media?
During year 12 I wasn’t well versed in how Final Cut express was used to create an appealing final product and towards the end of the year 12, with the help of a classmate I was able to independently edit and introduce cuts and fades and splitting the video and putting audio over a video clip. However this was very basic compared to what I want to be able to do this year, I would like to be able to go unaided while editing while being able to edit efficiently and properly to produce a main task that I will be proud of. Editing is something I will need to improve on if I am to improve my grade in media because I feel as if I did not have as much of a hands on approach as I would have liked and to change this I will be practising editing on videos that I make myself.
Camera work is something that I had to develop through year 12 because I started with a very basic understanding only really knowing only the basic shots, such as close ups, mid shots and long shots. This was okay for the first two weeks but you need to know a lot more when it comes to the main task and that was something that I had to learn through researching films and the shots that were used. In year 13 to improve my media grade the most important thing I want to do when using the camera is trying to use as many interesting and unusual shots as possible. To do this I will take inspiration from some of the great filmmakers of all time to emulate some of their shots.
In year 12 I didn’t really try to hard with my blog and this is a habit I have to break out from because how well presented a blog is, has a direct affect on how good my mark is, And that was something I didn’t really take into consideration last year. To change these I want to be able generate a blog that not only shows my own creative flair but putts across the ideas that my main task is trying to show. And hopefully this will allow me to improve my grade vastly.

...For other uses, see Constitution (disambiguation). A constitution is a set of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is governed.[1] These rules together make up, i.e. constitute, what the entity is. When these principles are written down into a single document or set of legal documents, those documents may be said to embody a written constitution; if they are written down in a single comprehensive document, it is said to embody a codified constitution. Constitutions concern different levels of organizations, from sovereign states to companies and unincorporated associations. A treaty which establishes an international organization is also its constitution, in that it would define how that organization is constituted. Within states, a constitution defines the principles upon which the state is based, the procedure in which laws are made and by whom. Some constitutions, especially codified constitutions, also act as limiters of state power, by establishing lines which a state's rulers cannot cross, such as fundamental rights. An example is the constitution of the United States of America. George Washington at Constitutional Convention of 1787 signing of the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution of India is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world,[2] containing 444 articles in 22 parts,[3][4] 12 schedules and 118 amendments, with 117,369 words in its English-language translation,[5]...

Medi Image

...Since the dawn of time, men and women have aspired to have the best looking image. This aspiration is often measured by the appearances of others – the appearances that appeal to the majority. People strive to achieve this by giving in to advertisements which eloquently sell materials that will help them reach this goal. The media is the main contributor to self-image and how the majority thinks they should look. Today’s society has become too attached to this idea of self-image, and the media has become a crutch on people’s outlook on beauty. This single image of beauty created by the media comes with a great deal of problems for society. Mass media has been able to shape popular culture and influence public opinion, and when abused, the power of the media can harm the general population. Certain tactics and strategies have been used to create the picturesque image in today’s world. This image is seen in every sort of corporate material or entertainment source. Corporations have gone as far as to promote this body image – the supposed “perfect body” – in the toys they sell to children. For instance, in her article “Drugs, Sports, Body Image and G.I. Joe,” Natalie Angier looks at the “G.I. Joe [which has gotten] more muscular and sharply defined, or ‘cut,’ than the model before” (Shea 486). This doll which exploits the “perfect” body image is one of the most popular toys for male children. Magazines are another source that influences the people on what is and is not good-looking...

...Everyone thinks that Melody is the same as other people because she is smart and has only one difference in appearance, I think differently. This book is about a girl who has curable palsy but is really smart. When everyone tried to shut her out they all felt bad, and in the end everything worked out. They have been looking for so long so melody could talk. “Finally we found something called a Medi-Talker…” (129). English as Medi of Istruction

...Introduction ------------------------------------------------- English-medium education From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "English Medium" redirects here. For the 1999 Malayalam film, see English Medium (film). An English-medium education system is one that uses English as the primary medium of instruction—particularly where English is not the mother tongue of the students. Initially associated with the expansion of English from its homeland in England and the lowlands of Scotland and its spread to the rest of Great Britain and Ireland, the rise of the British Empire increased the language's spread,[1][2] as has the increased economic and cultural influence of the United States since World War II.[3][4] A working knowledge of English is perceived as being valuable; for example, English is very dominant in the world of computing. As a result, many states throughout the world where English is not the predominant language encourage or mandate the use of English as the normal medium of instruction. * A medium of instruction (plural: usu. Mediums of instruction, but the archaic media of instruction is still used by some) is a language used in teaching. It may or may not be the official language of the country or territory. Where the first language of students is different from the official language, it may be used as the medium of instruction for part or all of schooling. Bilingual or multilingual education may involve the use of more than one language of instruction...

There Is a Better Way for Medicare and Medi-Cal

...3 trillion on healthcare, mainly on Medicare and Medicaid, which are the government funded health insurances primarily for seniors and people with disabilities and low incomes. This report not only surprises us but raises a crucial question. Is there a way to reduce the cost of the healthcare, yet provide high quality of medical services? To resolve the high cost issue in Medicare and Medi-Cal, the California state government and the federal government agreed to introduce a new healthcare plan called the Coordinated Care Initiative (CCI), which will combine Medicare and Medi-Cal into one system. The CCI will bring notable plan changes to the people who have both Medicare and Medi-Cal, called the dual beneficiaries. The implementation of the CCI is the solution to the government funded health insurance since it will prevent the abusive use of Medicare and Medi-Cal plans yet provide beneficiaries well-coordinated healthcare and easier access to the healthcare providers. First of all, the CCI is the solution to the high cost in healthcare since it will prevent imprudent use of Medicare and Medi-Cal. Abusive uses of healthcare plans by dual beneficiaries have been a persistent problem. According to the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services, the average medical bills spent by the dual beneficiaries, who are 100% covered by their plans, were approximately ten times more than that of beneficiaries who only own Medicare, who are responsible for the 20% of the bill. The fact that...

Social Medi Who's To Blame?

...Scope Argument Essay Is it really social media's fault that kids are putting their lives on the line for views? Kids are filming themselves doing dangerous stunts to get famous online, and many kids are getting hurt in the process. Some people think that social media sites like YouTube are to blame. Others think that kids will be kids and making mistakes is a part of growing up. In addition the part of our brain that controls decision making and judgement ~ the prefrontal cortex ~ is not fully developed. Not to mention teens will do anything ~ even of it’s dangerous ~ to get popular. They have been doing this before social media sites like YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc. In my opinion social media is not responsible for encouraging dangerous behavior for teens. I think it should be the parents job to monitor what kids watch and post. Like I said before teens minds are not developed enough to monitor themselves. Therefore it should be up to their parents or guardians to monitor them since they can’t monitor themselves. I have some examples to back up my thesis. One example is that “The fact is, the popularity of challenge videos isn’t really YouTube’s fault ~ it’s ours.” This backs up my answer because it tells us how it’s not social media to blame it’s really us. If we didn’t pay so much attention to these dangerous challenge videos we wouldn’t be giving these videos as much popularity which means not as many kids would be trying these challenges. I say this because...
