In the book Warriors Don’t Cry a little girl named Melba Pattillo Beal's has to fight for her life in Little Rock Central High. In this novel Melba(1 of the LR9) finishes middle school and then goes to Little Rock, Arkansas so she can go to Central High and graduate. On her first day of school she was greeted with a white mob blocking the front doors of the school. She never did get in that day, but se did get chased by a few white men and they threated to hang her if she didn’t stop running. She didn’t get inside the next day either because the white mob was still there. Even the National Guard was there to stop them from getting in. The third day of school Melba got In through the side entrance but she regretted even attempting to go to school
