Mexicans in America bring much of their dietary culture here.

The most important ingredient in their staple food is corn. They like to make a variety of food using corn, such as pancakes, waffles, scones, breads and pastes, etc. In addition to this, chili and avocado are also indispensable for Mexicans in America. They use chili to make chili sauce with other ingredients like tomatoes, carrots, and cucumber. Most of the sauces are sour but not salty and hot while some are really hot. Avocado sauce is another sauce that Mexicans often make. They dip chips, chickens, or anything in different kinds of sauces and eat.

Combine the corn and sauce, we get the authentic Mexican food, tacos. It is a famous Mexican dish made by a folded tortilla filled with various meats and vegetables, such as tomato, onion, cabbage, lettuce, beans, chicken, beef, and steak, etc. Finally, add some sauce, pepper or other spices in it.

Mexican immigrant has been one of the biggest ethnic groups in America and Mexican area in the U.S became quite a large market for corn and chili consumption. Be subject to influences of culture and dietary habit, Mexican residential area can be ideal fields for the U.S agricultural producers and food producers to enlarge market.

The principal products being consumed by Mexicans in America are:

a. Corns and wheat
b. Meat
c. Vegetables and fruit, such as Chili, tomato, lettuce, onion, and avocado, etc.

Mexicans’ food consumption has become a key component of the U.S economy. It even made contributions to the GDP of America in recent years. According to research statistics, although America’s corn export to other countries has been declined, export of tortillas made by Mexicans in America has been increased a lot.
