Many people are against DACA, this one of many comments from people: “Now, thanks to DACA, taxpayers spend hundreds of millions annually to reunite the (mostly) uneducated minors with their (mostly) illegal alien parents in the U.S. That’s money that should have gone to support schools, hospitals, and job-training for American youth.” From my perspective, I think this is completely wrong because the money still goes to education, not directly to a school but it does go to a person that needs it. And at the end of the quote it says “American Youth”, and by saying that the Dreamers are included as well because they are part of the US. The dreamers collaborate with the US making the future of everyone better by getting prepared and someday work in the medical, educational, or another kind of field. …show more content…
Average wages in that country are a more 10 percent of American levels, a gap that’s likely set to jump.” Because of my experience living in Mexico, I can say this isn't true, the economy is so low there are even teenagers that don't attend school, one of my friends couldn't continue his education from 8th grade since his family was very poor. In addition to this, I know many people that don't have the opportunity to attend a college or a university, like my parents they decided to come here to the US so their future children wouldn't face what they did. In the state, my grandparents live the rights for education are violated because the government will now make every person pay for their education when it should be free since a lot of people can't afford

Pros And Cons Of Living In New Mexico

...Melissa, you article is very good and thought provoking, living here in New Mexico the majority of my life I can remember the days of many jobs leaving the US and going to Mexico because of lower wages. The one that stands out the most was when Levi Straus Plant in Roswell, NM move to Mexico and laid off about 567 employees. (LA Times 1997) To run a business you have to look at every possible cost saving, and labor is always am area scrutinized, but the fact that we live in a world that someone in Foreign country can do the same job here in the US at a lower wage is not right. This is where politics and corporate business get involved and lobby to keep wages lower in foreign countries so their companies can make a profit. There have been some...

Pros And Cons Of Separating Mexico And The United States

...There is an argument going around talking about if there should be a wall built separating Mexico and the United States. I don’t think that there should be a wall to separate us but I do believe that maybe the border should be monitored and patrolled in order to stop contraband and terrorist. I don’t believe that a wall would do any good I think it would start a civil war that would eventually begin a World War. The border control helps keep our country safer than any wall would. They have been protecting us since 1924 and I think they are doing a pretty good job. If there was a wall built many families would be separated. People would also lose their jobs such as most of the border patrol. The main person that would benefit from building the wall would be Donald Trump. His dad gave him 1 million dollars to start his construction company. If Trump insists on building this wall, then he will be dividing America just like the Soviet Union had divided their country. President Reagan gave a speech “Tear Down This Wall” in the Soviet Union, And he said “Mr. Gorbuchav tear down this wall, seek peace and open the gate”. Trump wants to build the wall because he says “ that Mexicans are drug dealers, rapists, thieves, and...

Corporate Social Responsibility

...Overview What responsibilities do businesses have? Who takes priority when decisions are made? Are shareholders the most important to consider, or is it the customer? Should a company simply meet the required regulations, or attempt to go above-and-beyond the requirements? All of the questions involve corporate social responsibility. Corporate Social Responsibility can be defined as “the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large” (World Business Council for Sustainable Development). Cash is King Many organizations and individuals feel that businesses simply have the responsibility to make profits (Friedman, 1970). These companies or individuals place emphasis on satisfying the desires of its shareholders, primarily through high profits. Generally, these companies will spend only enough money on social responsibilities to comply with regulations. The money spent going above the required amount is considered to be spending someone else’s money. “Insofar as his actions in accord with his "social responsibility" reduce returns to stockholders, he is spending their money. Insofar as his actions raise the price to customers, he is spending the customers' money” (Friedman, 1970). They feel that employees can individually donate their time or money to contribute to society. CSR is Overrated Ultimately...

Decision-Making Process Paper

...steps in my decision making process. The decision making process will be compared to the process obtained in class text. By using the steps in the text my outcome could have a different conclusion. I was having trouble find employment while as residing in New Mexico after a huge layoff from work. After months of searching for full time employment, I starting contemplating a decision to move my family to Spring Illinois. The choice to move was a huge decision to make. My wife would have to leave her state job along with my kids having to start a new school. So I made a list of pros and cons of making the move. I then began making a budget to see if the move was feasible financially. The pros outweigh the cons and I begin putting my decision into motion. After a few months of planning my move was complete. My decision making process was similar to what the text offered. In the text the first step is to identify the problem (Bateman, Snell, 2011). I did this by noticing that employment in new Mexico was not available The next step is generating alternatives (Bateman, Snell, 2011). I did this by deciding to move to Springfield Illinois. The third step was to evaluate the alternative, I did this by writing out the pros and cons of my decision I then followed the fourth step in making my choice, by deciding to move. The fifth steps includes implementation (Bateman, Snell, 2011). I then implemented the decision by moving. The last step is to evaluate the decision made. I have yet done...

Current Ethical Issues on Oil Spill

...Current ethical issues on Oil Spill Today, with the continual and rapidly growing need of energy demand by big nations like United States and China continuing to furnish their domestic consumptions of oil have led to increased prices of gasoline whereby alternative forms of energy production are sought. With this in mind, offshore drilling can be a viable option for satiating the need of oil and also to boost the economy of the nation. In this report, I am going to discuss how the current Deepwater Horizon rig explosion has led to disastrous oil spill into the Gulf of Mexico causing environmental problems and also discuss how the oil spill if resolved and with safe and secure drilling techniques, the economic impact of offshore drilling can outweigh the environmental issues. Concerning the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion on April 20, 2010, which escalated into a massive amount of oil spillage from the well reservoir as the oilrig sunk killing eleven crewmembers on board. The key players related to the rig explosion are British Petroleum (BP), Transocean, rig owner, and Halliburton. BP is one of the world's largest energy companies, providing its customers with fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light, retail services and petrochemicals products for everyday items. (“BP at a glance,” 2010) Transocean, the world’s largest offshore drilling contractor and the owner of Deepwater Horizon rig, provides the most versatile fleet of mobile offshore drilling units to help...
